Okay, here's the deal. If my opponent attacks, I don't know, Troop Dragon, and I use a card effect like Shift to redirect the attack to Black Stego, will it still change to Defense Position?
Well, no specific rulings on Black Stego, but I'll try my best...
I would have to say that it would, indeed, change. The opponent is still selecting an attack target. You just basically move the crosshairs onto Black Stego who responds to the lock-on by covering up.
Yeah, but that's usually what seems to go through some minds with these questions. "Is it the monster targeting it for the attack?? Or is it Shift doing the targeting and not the actual monster itself??"
But yeah, Black Stego will still switch. Now I can make my fun little Unity Deck with it >=)
Kewlness. I just needed to know because I'm writing up another duel for my FanFic. I used Shift because that's the closest thing I could think of to "Attack Guidance Barrier" that actually exists in the game. Thanks, guys.
