Hey, I'm new here, and I wanted help constructing my Mixed Messages deck. Any ideas?

(Note: I don't have many good Magic and Trap cards, nor do I have probably any of the suggestions you have, I haven't bought very many for a while.)

I think, well, I know, one of my problems is that I'm using too many Monsters and too few Magic and Trap, but I can't use my good Magic and Traps, because I don't have enough of it. For example: Sage's Stone. I have neither a Dark Magician, or Dark Magician Girl.

Could I get help?

You use alot of old cards. Get some structuredecks and more new cards and you will have a more advanced deck.

Well, even if you don't really have many spells and traps, I still wouldn't use so many monsters. What you should do is, take all your monsters in a pile, then seperate them into two piles. One level 4 and lower, the other level 5 and higher. Then you can pick the best level 4 and lower monsters, about 15 or so, and about 5 or 6 of the best high level monsters.

I would suggest buying any structure deck(the Warrior, Spellcaster, Dragon, Zombie, and soon to be Dinosaur are the best ones) and using a lot of the Spells and Traps from those, as well as some monsters to make your deck much better.

You should really get your deck down to only 40 cards as you don't have any real strategy.

Yami Chasi, I took your advice, and I eliminated 16 cards (all Monsters) from my deck.

Even with all of those gone, the deck still wont be that good. Also, get some Cyber Dragon tins so that you have Cyber Dragons.
Also, if you are playing the Advanced format, the one for tournament, Monster Reborn cannot be played, it is banned.

I'm kind of curious... do you only have 7 spell and trap cards... I kind of would like to know what you have to choose from.. i remember when i first started playing and didn't have much.. I had way better s/t cards to choose from and they came from the original character decks.... It would probaby be better if you private messaged me a list of your cards... I'll help you make a good deck.

What? Monster Reborn is banned?! Same with Monster Reincarnation then? No, I don't have that card. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not aiming for many Dragons. They aren't my strong suite.

you need to put your mind into the deck

sit down and think, look at every card, then pic 20 of the best, dont care if you think 25 are just as good, you get rid of those extra 5.

then same with spells, get 12

I did check the banned list, and it all looks familiar, for now anyway. However, that isn't what this post is for. My deck still is pretty bad, and I'm thinking of saving money to buy a structure deck. Should I get the Blaze of Destruction, or the Cyber Dragon tin first?

I would recommend getting the warrior and magician structure deck.....IMO they had the best starting cards and if possible find a joey starter so u can get graceful and a few other desent cards......when u get those if possible go to a local card shop and ask someone u trust (a friend so they dont rip u or try to screw u over) to build u a desent deck out of the stuff u have then post it up.....thats all i can say.....can u review and fix my hero smackdown deck in my sig (down below post).....later

You and Tankytank should form a team.

Graceful Charity came out of the Pegasus Starter. You can also find Graceful Charity in Dark Beginning 2 as a Normal Rare.

Technically, Tankytank and I aren't probably able to work well together. We have separate kinds of cards, and I don't believe that our themes would work together. Plus, we'd almost always lose.
