Can you still pull up a barrier between adjacent figs ?

I was told you can't do that under the new rules, but i can't find out why, i know adjecent figs count as blocking for LOS ..but other then the first square you don't need line of sight to the other squares when your putting up a barrier and i can't find any reference that they are considered blocking for any other effects..

Cause if you can't put up a barrier between 2 adjacent figs tha would also mean you can't put one up between a corner of a building and a fig ..

You can indeed put up a barrier as you have diagramed. The only restrictions are that you must have LOS to one of the squares of Barrier, and all squares must be within the figures range.
