sounds good to me. my fellow ShinBurnClan member sent me a FYI earlier today, and the word around the campfire is Claremont will be returnin' to Uncanny. plus Alan Davis will be drawin' it no less. i repeat, sounds good to me.
oh yeah, it seems SalvadorLarroca will take over the art of NewX-Men w/ a mystery writer after GrantMorrison, and ChuckAustin finish their arcs of the book. here's the article!
Claremont told me at WWE this past summer that he was so ticked that Salvador Larocca was taken from him on X-Treme. He spoke highly of Igor, but he still would have preferred Sal.
Claremont doesn't have 1/10th the creativity of Morrison. Chris was great once, but somewhere between #150 and #200 of Uncanny he lost it completely and his writing devolved into a sad parody of his earlier works.

And yet, it would be hard to argue that anyone is worse than Austen.
my 6 year old neice could write a better story then austen, ive been a long time fan of the xmen and stopped getting them becuuse of the ####py storylines the have been doing, eve claremonts run with xtreme has been medeocre at best
So of course the Claremont haters haven't been reading his original tale Intifada. Where he is examining the normals who have a real grievance with mutants, as opposed to naked fear. A tale about dispossession, loss of family, and abuse of power, as opposed to woe is me mutant angst.
Yep! no creativity there. Just because Claremont isn't writing soft porn inuendos, doesn't mean he has nothing to say.
Or no wait! Here's a change of pace in God Loves, Man Kills II. The villain instead of being irredeemable and proud of it, realises he's wrong, and want's to change. We haven't seen that for a while. And I'm not talking Supervilains converted to Super-heroes.
Xtreme X-Men has been the best X-Book for the last three years. I don't understand why Jemas was screwing with Claremont and Larroca when their book was consistently in the top fifteen every month.
I hope this rumour is true, but I also hope Xtreme isn't going away. But it would be strange for Claremont to be getting backstabbed one minute just to get more work later. Then again, I've heard Jemas is in the dog house. We can only hope he will go away, instead of interfering with all the great things Quesada would like to do.
