nothing but a concept on DMC as most of my decks are but after reading the set 14 spoiler with that light card that activates when destroyed I turned to everyones favourite propellor mutant to tide me over. As card lead on to card and possible combinations arose this went from three colour crud to dual colour fun.
Heres what I came up with:
Darkness: 14
4x Black Feather, Shadow of rage
4x Propellor Mutant
4x Locomotiver
2x Vampire Silphy
Spells: 10
4x Faerie Life
4x Mana Nexus
2x Dimension Gate
total:50
Stratergies:
Use the nature to bolster mana presence, with ghost touch, propellor and loco limiting the oppositions options. The idea is to summon a scarab/scorpion and destroy it that same turn with black feather/Intense evil as it allows extra draw and to pull another of the same name from the manazone without summoning sickness (though i'm not entirely sure that is correct).
The destruction of silphy means if I have (best case scenario) 2 scorpions in mana and 2 on the field I can bomb their field with losing as much presence on my own.
Reasoning:
If Shouter works with Intense I think it fits better than BAT also seeing as the scarabs and scorps are bouncing in and out of mana it helps to be able to top up as and when needed.
Silpy- ¬_¬ I like the art.
50 cards- mana excel + draw, so it shouldnt be too detrimental
Possible fixes:
-4 shouter
+ BAT
-3 Barkwhip
+ (Nothing)
- (something)
+ Rainbow Stone- to put specific cards in mana
-3 Barkwhip
+ 4 Blockers- squito etc
well there tis, thanks for looking and take the deck have a play with it cos it won't get the optimum testing here in Britain just yet.
Any Ambush Scorpion or Obsidian Scarab you play from your mana zone arrives untapped, and summon sick.
Mighty Shouter does indeed work with Intense Evil.
I'd probably ditch both Torcon and Barkwhip, for BAT. And I'd be looking for another sweeper (Silphy is a little way away at 8 mana) ... Sinister General Damudo fits nicely in Sui-black.
The other card worth considering with the at-destruction effects is Death Cruzer (but the version I'm working on sits around Daidalos)
Mana Nexus seems like a strange choice, when the only decent trigger you have to load is the Nexus itself ... where's Terror Pit?
