Hey all. Recently I read the novel Pale Fire, by Vladimir Nabokov (great read). One major character is named Charles Xavier. The book was printed in 1962, and the first issue of "The Uncanny X-Men" has a cover date of September, 1963. Does anyone know if Stan Lee and Jack Kirby filched the name from Nabokov for Prof. X, or is it a coincidence? If anybody can actually answer this question, I bow in advance to your superior wisdom.

OK, obviously nobody knows the answer to my question (or, if they do, they refuse to come forward). So riddle me this: Does Stan Lee still do that column in every Marvel comicbook where he answers questions from fans? I need to get to the bottom of this.
