I think I'll do a deck series based on the Seven Deadly Sins, like I did for the chapters of Musashi's Book of Five Rings awhile back. Except this will probably be weekly-to-bi-weekly, as opposed to one a day like the Musashi series. Like the Musashi series, it'll mostly be decks not commonly seen. Suggest fixes and stuff for it, and the rest when they come... but yeah, enjoy, I think...
We start, with Greed.
Quote
Greed is a sin of excess. Greed particularly applies to the acquisition of wealth. Avarice, or Greed, is a blanket term that can describe many other forms of sinful behaviour. These include disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason, especially for personal gain, as when someone lets themselves be bribed. Scavenging and hoarding of materials or objects, theft and robbery, especially by violence, trickery, or manipulation of authority are all actions that are inspired by greed. Such misdeeds include Simony, where the sinner feels the urge to make money by selling things within the confines of the church.
Nobleman of Crossout
Mystical Space Typhoon
Card Destruction
Soul Reversal
Level Limit- Area B
Scapegoat
2x Fissure
3x Mind Wipe
Traps: 10
Needle Ceiling
Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell
2x Fake Trap
3x Disturbance Strategy
3x Greed
As you may and/or may not know, Greed is the major source of damage in this deck, helped along by burn from Des Koala, Magical Thorns, Chain Strike, and the 2400 ATK of the ALMIGHTY CHAINSAW INSECT.
For those who question my use of Hiro's Shadow Scout: Don't ride me about it, he's AWSOME in this deck.
try swapping the Thorns and Cursed Seal for 2 Fake Trap and 1 Bubble Burst. First 2 protect Greed (which is all important here) and the last will help counteract all the forced drawing you are giving your opponent.
btw, I love the idea for the theme. I did the exact same thing back before Advanced Format was released. Its probably buried way in the past, but they were all Fiend decks. With the last several expansions, formats, ect. this is good to try out.
Mystic Tomato really doesn't help. What would be nice, would be to add Sasuke Samurai #3 and Penalty Game!. They can easily turn your opponents look of joy in to a nasty frown :( !
I don't understand with Penalty Game either, could you explain this for us Saito?
What I think might help would be something like Cold Wave, that way your opponent can only play one card per turn, and it can't be a Spell or Trap. With a really large hand your enemy would then have to discard a lot during their End Phase if they can only play a monster each turn and nothing else.
(note, sarcasm from here on)
Of course, you should also switch your Fissures for Smashing Grounds, your Needle Ceiling for a Mirror Force, etc. etc.
(end sarcasm)
Hmm, yes that does make sense. You could try the trap that says "whenever your opponent draws from an effect, you can draw as well" I can not remember the name of it however.
I just remembered, it is Appropriate. I'm not sure if that would do well or not, it seems like it might.
