Card Trooper will be the hottest card to get as of today. But the question is, Will it be big enough to be seen in Regs, and SJC's in days and/or months to come before the new April 1 ban list arrives?
I've already know some good decks that are perfect for this broken-as-heck card such as Card Trooper:
[1] Chimeratech Overdragon: Just think! Use Trooper's effect to drop top three cards from your deck, just to thin your deck out. Crazy! And you can draw a card too... Holy Smokes! That's just as devious as Cyber Phoenix. Better even.
[2] Bazoo/Return/DF deck: Same thing with Chimeratech. With Trooper and Bazoo on the field, that's brutal!
Card Trooper
Attrib: Earth
Type: Machine/Effect
Level:3
Atk: 400
Def: 400
Once per turn, you can send up to 3 cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard. This card gains 500 ATK for each card you sent to the Graveyard in this way, until the End Phase. When this card on your side of the field is destroyed and sent to your Graveyard, draw 1 card from your Deck.
This card will definately see play in bazoo/return and chimeratech OTK decks.
I'd say it's better than Dekoichi, Merchant and most other monsters with draw abilitys that people use nowadays since you get the draw everytime it is destroyed, no mattewr how. It doesn't have to be in battle, it doesn't have a flip effect, in fact it's almost like a Sangan. The first effect is just an added bonus for some specific decks that need a huge graveyard fast (Blasting the Ruins OTK?).
True, that's why you only use the first effect as a graveyard filler for decks that really benefit from it like Chimeratech, Blasting the Ruins, Necrofear, Bazoo etc. For all other decks, it is the 2nd most reliable floater right after Sangan (it could still be stolen and tributed in which case you don't get the effect).
It's very splashable indeed. My guess is that it'll take Dekoichi's place sooner or later.
It's superior to Dekoichi in all aspects of effects other than attack and defense. However, for a level 3 Machine that can boost itself to 1900 attack is still decent I guess. It would make an interesting deck with Rampaging Rhynos, Scarabs, and Locusts.
After thinking some more, this card might just be broken. It's a 1900 attacker that's immune to all forms of removal other than battle without +1ing. Even in battle, no advantage is lost. You should only draw from this if it is destroyed in battle. Are we positive this is the exact translation? Also, when is this coming out (future set, promo, etc)?

I was actually wondering the same thing. As is translated above this card is pretty busted.
It should be when this card is destroyed as a result of battle you can draw 1 card from your deck. That way it is restricted tobattle only and the "you can" part means you can miss the timing of the effect as well.
But a 1900 attacker that basically gives you auto advantage is def too much.
