I actually like this deck, but like the crush card most of all. I don't see a whole lot of problems, except for reliability on the three choice traps. side deck easily against this deck. decree, jinzo, solemn. All things you see in many top decks. I would address the vulnerability, although I see the decision to run three solemns of your own, it is till very succeptible to trad negators. I would maybe tech cat of ill omen, even though slow, gives you your trap card, hence speeding up your win condition. I would try that, and maybe a double snare or two in side deck, again, even though slow, helps you out more than you think. I love the use of cold wave though, I use three now in my six samurai deck when i found out the flexibility of the card, and the advantage of a turn it gives you. All around, a very good deck, just need to make it a little more solid. I would also think about jujitsu master, explanation uneeded. Good deck, just need to address the problems, and this deck will be very dangerous and flulike indeed. Peace .Y.
I dont think that trap negators will be that bad for me because I run 3 solemns and 3 raiza's. solemns would be the only card that would really hurt me but even that wouldnt be to bad.
Plague wolf
3stars 1000/1000
dark/zombie
once per turn you can double this cards attack if you do this this card is destroyed during the end phase.
To tell you the truth, while your Warrior version is quite unique, and I like the playset of Survivor, I think the fiend on can still outdo it. The double reliance of both the Virus comboes as well as the Dimensional Fissure may give this deck bad draws.
-3 Raiza the Storm Monarch
-1 Banisher of the Radiance
-3 Dark Mimic LV1
-2 Brain Control
-1 Solemn Judgment
Notes:
While Raiza is good, I don't think it capitalizes on Cold Wave nor the deck's removal abilities.
3 Banisher of the Radiance is generally overkill. You want to control the field with it when you get it, not have it clog up the hand.
Dark Mimic LV1 provides you with a floater and CCV bait, but it's not substantial enough.
Brain Control is for...? Steaing your opponent's monster and CCVing it? There are better choices.
I like Solemn, but you just need some all purpose negation, not crazy LP drainage.
+3 Mobius the Frost Monarch
+1 Spirit Reaper
+3 Stealth Bird
+1 Morphing Jar
+1 Confiscation
+1 Return from the Different Dimension
This should make it speedier, and get rid of more obvious threats. Notes:
Mobius takes advantage of your opponent's fromzen backfield. While it's true Raiza could have bounced instead and can take out monsters too, this build already has sufficient monster removal in the form of the Viruses.
Reaper can stall a little for you, and is CCV bait. A good all-purpose card.
Stealth Bird is my flavor card of choice. Setting it turn 1 against a passive opponent means instant damage. Setting it against an aggro opponent means drawing out their attack+makes them reckless against your removal. It's also good CCV bait.
Morphing Jar does the job of Dark Mimic a lot better.
Confication lets you take out obvious threats.
Return sets you up with a huge win condition is you chain it to Cold Wave. The choices for you win condition are fallen Mobii and Plague Wolf. If you want to keep a monster on the field after your Return, grab a removed Stealth Bird instead. I think it's a good choice for this deck.
I hope CCV gets released soon. Heck, I want SD11 and SD12:(
I like reaper but I dont like morphing jar and stealth bird. I might use the jar but i will have to test it out first. maybe apprentice magician could work in this deck.
lets explain my choices
1st
Raiza helps me when my opponent flips over a decree or summons a jinzo. my great removal is useless when they hit the field. while mobius can take down royal decree I find that cards that have more than one purpose are often better than cards that only have one purpose so raiza is in place of mobius.
banisher of the radiance x3 while I was looking at only placing 2 radiances in this deck I ultimately decided on a third because how easy monsters are destroyed.
dark mimic lv 1 mainly because I had no real choices for this deck. I might replace them with something else.
brain control is a very versitil win condition and field stabilizer.
solemn judgment at 3 because it can stop any card that can hurt me including the cards I didnt expect.
Apprentice Magician will have a little bit of syneergy with The A Forces, but otherwise, there is nothing worthwhile to fetch with Apprentice. Adding Old Vindictive Magician to the fray just takes away the speed of the deck. As for the Stealth Bird, they were just my personal taste anyway :)
yeah I kind of agree with that apprentice magician will have no target until they release the next set. and even then I am not sure on that.
I will have to look for another target. really I should be looking for a target for ddv because I have 5 targets for ccv and two are very difficult to get rid of. might try out giant orcs or something.
I thought it was your intention all along to use Plague Wolf more for DDV than for CCV even though it had the versatility for both. Giant Orc was exactly why I said Fiends might outdo the warrior build. They have Orcs and Dark World. There's not much out there for warriors except The Fiend Megacyber and Zombyra the Dark.
