I'm gonna be getting him in 6-8 weeks (just suscribed) and want to make a deck around him. Could anyone make me a sample baboon deck or give me some cards that are good with him?

for a splashable beast that can search try giant rat,i got one coming too,so im fairly interested in making a deck.

Now I have an 18 card deck

manitores at 2.......i had a pretty good beast deck...never guessed that huh...*looks at name.....crap......gave it away....anyways....im in the process of remaking it......i got my manticores.....but rat never came up cause i did beast down i used stuff like mad dog, beserk, and the ever popular hyena cause i had no nimbles.....keep in mind what kind of beast deck u want to make.....pure beast doesnt use maniticore as much......use that behemoth guy....and beast fangs

Can you be specific? I returned to playing Yu-Gi-Oh at POTD and stopped around Dark Crisis

Some of the best beast monsters include:

Nimble Momonga (works even better if you're also using Giant Rat)
Berserk Gorilla (nice 2000 ATK beatstick)
Mad Dog of Darkness (nice 1900 ATK beatstick)
King Tiger Wanghu (against weenie-monsters)
Bazoo the Soul Eater (strongest level 4 beatstick, makes for nice Return/Dimension Fusion combos)
Behemoth, the King of all Animals (essentially a free summon since you get back the same number of monsters you tributed for)

Manticore of Darkness, although not a beast, offers great support for the deck, same goes for Enraged Battle Ox.

This should be enough monsters to make a great Baboon deck, can't wait to get one myself.

Made my monster line-up, now I need help with spells and traps

This is in fact the only deck that still uses Berserk gorilla, because you can manually shift it to defense, pay 1000 and bring baboon out. Nimbles and rats are a natural fit, and winged rhynos are generally too good to overlook. Sadly not that many more good beast decks. Keep in mind if you use manticore that you can send baboon for it, but not vice versa.

If you wanted a fix, all you had to was ask ;) First of all, try limiting manticore's to two and Baboon to one, since they are respectively semi-limited and limited. Then add the usual suspects :

2x Manticore

3x Rat
3x Nimble
3x Berserk
3x Enraged
2x Winged Rhynos
1x Neo-SPacian Grand Mole
1x Sangan

Then make sure you get some utility with baboon and manticore out of your deck :

1x Premature
1x Call
3x Wild Nature's release (when the beasts get destroued, baboon comes out)
2x Next to be lost
2x Generation shift

Then staple it up for utility.

THe deck won't really be playable until we can add a pair of Foolish Burials though. Maybe Golden chest of sealing.
