I think I may have too many monsters.

Can anyone give me some advice? A rating perhaps?

Suggestion: Reduce Armed Dragon to 1, since he is extremely easy to get out with Masked Dragon, lvling him up easily with masked dragon as a 1st turn card. Use the slot for something more useful.

Any ideas for which cards to use in the extra slot? This is the first deck like this I've made so im sure it needs a bit of work.

I guess i'll go again. I noticed you have basically no high power 4 star monsters. If you can't get the big boys out (the high level... levels), you should have a contingency plan. At least a Luster dragon or Spear, to have some meaty easy summon contenders.

I have three Luster Dragons...

haha whoops, didn't see that. Then perhaps I can recommend maybe a discarding card effect or reload. I recommend this because I used to run the Silent Swordsman's levels, and oftentimes you will get level 7 or 8, and it will sit as a dead card in your hand if you don't have the ability to get the lower levels of it out, especially Horus levels since his level 4 form can't be searched by Sangan or Masked Dragon, which could mean a pretty useless LVL 8 in your hand. With reload, at least it can still be used later should you happen to later summon it's lower incarnations.

Ok. I took you're advice and the deck runs really well. I've played about 20-30 duels with it now and I only got beat twice.

Anyone got more advice or should I just leave it as it is?

I don't have much time to test the deck out for suggestions, but I'll let you know that Spirit Reaper is limited. Only 1 copy.

It is better to focus on Horus or Armed. Using both in the same deck will cause a lot of dead draws. You don't even have Cyber Dragons to ease your summoning problems. This deck requires a set of Brains in order to even think about summoning most of the tribute monsters even with Frog in there. If Frog gets RFG'ed, you'll be looking to draw a lot of dead monsters. Fairy Box should be ditched for a Sak.

you are overlooking a big card that should be in every dragon deck. dragons mirror..... that lets you bring out five headed dragon for an easy win.

The problem is, I don't have Dragon's Mirror or Five Headed Dragon.

I put in a few Magical Mallets for dead draws. I wasn't sure of a Horus and Armed Dragon Deck but I tried them both on their own and I didn't really like them too much. But when I combined them it seemed much better. Though I'll put in another 2x Brain Controls to help with the tributes and I'll take out Fairy box for a Sakuretsu Armor.

this may be a bad suggestion...but.....I'd take out 1 luster and the magical merchant for 2 spear dragons. Though the drawback of turning into def. the 1900 atk and effect are worth it all together.
