I know, now I'm never going to get my hands on an Il Blud or two. I love the first few Shonen Jumps of a new format watching the metagame develop. Looks like everyone teched against Apprentice Monarchs so they didn't see as big of a showing in the Top 16 as everyone initially thought. I liked that Gadgets, Zombies, Burn, DDT, Perfect Circle, Toolbox, and Demise all found their way into the Top 16.

So much stuff to look at in this Top 16, I need time to digest it.

So the breakdown looks like:

I wasn't really sure what to classify the Kycoo/Shrink deck as, or the Blowback/Barrel Dragon deck so I just lumped them into generic names. All in all, 10 different deck types in the Top 16, that's pretty impressive.

Ha, I played Hugo and Eric last week, I didn't think they'd get this far with those decks.

it seems drillroid, hammer shot are starting to be used more

its also good to see that monarchs wernt supreme.

i think im gonna need to put some counter zombie cards in my deck soon

a lot of zombies. and there very a like. summon at my local tourny runs zombies. i am thinking about helping him with it.

This is very cool. Makes me very happy that I just got a set of Gadgets in a trade. Ill Blud is WAY too expensive for so I'll probably be going with Gadgets this time around.

I think this is quite good for the game, I'm liking this ban list more and more.

Monarchs r gone, that means I'm gone; all I ever had was monarchs. I have a couple cards for a gadget deck, but not for a competive gadget deck. :cry: :cry: :cry:

congrats to Kadeem Smith he plays in my local. Also off topic but has anyone seen the things people wear to these events? i got a picture sent to me from D.C my friend duel a guy dressed as Kaiba....Seto Kaiba! he was wearing his white out fit and everything he even plays a blue eyes deck. No offence if u are the guy dreesed as kaiba though im just wondering why?

I would classify it as machine beatdown.

I was VERY happy with the top 16. Very diverse, usually when people say diverse they just mean 6 different monarch builds, but this one actually had genuine diversity to it, I was very impressed.

I cant say I'm surprised at all that apprentice monarchs did not dominate, from the get go I thought app monarchs were only ok, and couldnt understand why everyone was hyping them so much.

I'm annoyed that zombire did so well, even though I knew zombies were going to be tier 1, I was hoping they wouldnt make such a strong showing so I could pick up some il blud.

Overall a great jump, cant wait to see how the format develops.
