This is my take on a The Creator deck. It uses the Destiny Hero draw engine since Dasher and Disc Commander combo greatly with this deck.
Haven't been able to test this deck yet since they don't have the new structure out yet here, YVD hasn't been updated with the new cards either, and I'm too lazy to make proxies right now.
Eh, I don't really need Morphing Jar. As it is, I already have a TON of draw power with Disc Commander (I've run a Perfect Circle deck on Tag Force 2; I've nearly decked myself out a few times, and that's with only Fear Monger and Premature), so I don't really need anything else.
Also, with 2 Foolish Burial, 2 PWWB, LV, and The Creator and Herald, I can get the cards I want in the grave at pretty much any time.
great deck bro although i would take out a trade in for a d draw since you have 7 d heros in there. can you tell me what prob you see 'cause my destinies gate is similer to this. 9/10
I don't think I like the PWWB... it really just buys you a turn against Treeborn. I suppose that could be enough, but I would try out Karma Cut in this deck. It's not about momentum, so the removal will help 10 fold i think. Remove Zombie Masters or Pyramid Turtle from the field and grave or remove treeborn for good. In graveyard tool box decks, I think it'll help you win. Other than that it looks pretty solid and originally it inspired me to build a very similar deck.
I'm also having a bit of trouble deciding on D.Draw vs Trade In here. D.Draw has more targets and dasher and commander are awesome graveyard tools. Trade in helps you drop your biggins. But doesn't help an in hand Creator. I'd be tempted to run the Malicious again and play the D.Draws though. and consider running more Vortexes.
I don't like Malicious anymore. I've tried running a Perfect Circle deck on Tag Force 2, and most of the time I'd draw both Malicious before I could/would use the effect, thus making them a dead draw. And that's with 3 Destiny Draws.
Karma Cut actually sounds like a nice idea. I was actually considering Divine Wrath, but Karma Cut is interesting, so I'll give it a test run.
Trade In was added in due to the fact that I needed something to take the place of the two MY Body as a Shield that I rarely ever used. However, I failed to remember that a The Creator in the grave is useless to me in every way other than Pot of Avarice. I'm already going to swap one of the Trade Ins for a Destiny Draw, but if the Trade In follows the route of Malicious, I'll probably swap the remainder.
well im not saying you should put it in there but that card that switches your grave yard with your deck would be very useful if your about to deck out when you have the creator on the field it might be a very good idea
-1 Jinzo
-1 Herald of Creation
-1 Destiny Hero - Fear Monger
-2 Reinforcement of the Army
+1 Cloudian - Eye of the Typhoon
+1 Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys
+1 Destiny Draw
+1 Reasoning
+1 Trade-In
After someone pwn'd me with a Creator build, I decided to bring my deck out of retirement and touch it up a bit. At first, all I changed was Reinforcement for D.Draw and Trade-In and Jinzo for another Phoenix, but eventually I added in Cloudian - Eye of the Typhoon to make the deck a bit more offensive. So far, I'm glad with the changes, but I DEFINITELY need to make a side deck. >_> That will come later, though, I suppose.
Oh yes, I almost forgot. I want to try working in a pair of Cyber Dragons, possibly 3, but I'm not sure what to drop for them. Any thoughts on this?
-1 Cloudian - Eye of the Typhoon
-1 Pot of Avarice
+1 Destiny Hero Plasma
+1 Trade-In
+entire side deck
After reading Metagame's Null Space article and realizing that Plasma works with both Destiny Draw AND Trade-In (not sure why I didn't notice that before), I decided to include a single copy in place of Cloudian, since he seemed to mess me up more often than he helped. Also, Pot of Avarice was often a dead draw, since I often WANT monsters in my grave.
I'm not too sure about all the cards in my side deck. For instance, I would rather find a way to fit CyDra in my main deck, but I have no idea how at the moment. Also, I'm not too sure on the extra Heralds, but the Metagame article emphasized them pretty strongly, so they're filling spots I wasn't sure what to fill with.
SIDE DECK
-3 Cyber Dragon
-2 Mausoleum of the Emperor
+3 Lightning Vortex
+2 Solemn Judgment
I've been testing out this new setup lately, since I often found myself with dead hands of high-level monsters and unusuable cards. Also, I rarely was able to use Dasher's effect, since I tended to draw or summon a lot of my high-level monsters with Trade-In, Reasoning, and Monster Gate. This setup with CyDra's and the more run-of-the-mill Spells has been doing quite well so far, no dead hands as of yet.
I'm still not too partial on the side deck, but at least I was able to get the CyDra's out of there. Also, I found out the hard way that Mausoleum isn't as useful as one would think. Maybe I'll give it another shot, now that I seem to have a more stable build.
