Since I'm bathing in common Stratos' with the errata'd text, figured it was time to break out stratos and oceans new effect. Big City, evil style.

Concept is simple, like Big City. Bring Stratos online in a hurry and cycle him to get all your monsters out, then use the Ocean/skyscraper 2 combination to keep them coming out in larger numbers and then clear the field with vortex and attack. Problem with Big City was that it wouldn't often stay on the defensive until it saw a chance to clear the field. Malicious edge changes that. Can be brought to the hand with stratos or ocean, and skyscraper 2 provides the tribute fodder. Malicious edge puts an aggro spin on City.

3 solemns an a forced back provide ample utility against major swings in tempo, usually creating the fitted opening. It also provides four excellent answers to LADD. PWWB has been a meta favourite since september and fits even better in a deck that can really afford the discard cost. Its also extremely versatile, getting rid of traps and quick-plays before they come online, or sending large tribs back as you hammer home the damage.

The ability to push an opponent on the defensive instead always going on the defensive yourself in a very fast aggro format is just what the deck needed.

Stratos was printed common and erratad to. Now he's even more broken.

I haven't seen a common Stratos, let alone his errata. What promotional thing is Stratos in now? Mind filling me in Belgian? Thanks. :)


(Oh and the deck looks good as always... I would have come with fixes if I hadn't been side tracked by that errata business.)

Pharaoh's Tour common, isn't it? As for the Errata, in Japan both Ocean and Stratos say they work with "Hero" monsters, not just E or D. Good deck, Belgium, i just suggest a side deck?

Yep yep, Pharaoh Tour participation Promo Card (PT03-EN002) Elemental hero Stratos common. The errata is that his text is now even longer as he includes Evil Heroes in his effect. ocean is likely to get the same treatment. In Japanese he just read "hero" for his effect so it automatically included the new Evil Heroes, but here they have to spell it out, because heaven forbid he could fetch Oscillo Hero. That would make him too broken.

I'm curious how this deck worked out. I was thinking about something similar until I realized that Malicious Edge was a Fiend and it foiled my evil plans with Immortal Bushi.

I knew there was something that I was missing.

I was thinking about Threatening Roar in this deck to help protect Ocean, maybe the Solemn Judgments are enough though. Unfortunately Treeborn Frog doesn't play well with Skyscraper 2.

Decent enough. I' cut exiled force and a malicious edge, I'm toying with both wrath and bribe for the final two slots. Its got potential and I'm pursuing the deck further, I'm even looking for a pair of malicious edge so I can take out the proxies.

It doesn't really need tribute support, between sky 2 and ocean you always get or keep a monster on the field to sac for malcious edge. There just isn't that much removal going around, and Pretty soon you get to return heroes left and right with scraper and then special summon stratos, fetch edge, sac stratos for edge and go to town.

The only problem it has is the rise in play vortex is seeing. It can prematurely end a good defensive wall before you get to go on the offensive. But then I guess that's what solemns and bribes are for.

Test out Infernal Gainer in this deck. It might be too slow for this deck, I don't know. But in a build I had focused around Malicious, Infernal Gainer + Malicious usually meant game over. It's not incredibley hard to pull off either.
