This is a different version of Gravekeeper/Dark World than my last. Previously, I also used Gravekeeper's Chief and Card of Safe Return to create draw power from the Dark World summons that would help alleviate the immense strain that this kind of deck build can put on your hand.
Sadly, I was finding myself with hands of Chiefs, Dark World monsters and Card of Safe Returns with no means of using any of them. So I've redesigned the deck using other methods.
Please feel free to question my chooses and leave me feedback. I will gladly return the favor, if asked.
nice build i tried a deck like this befor but yours looks mor solid. 3 royal tributes seems lik a little bit of overkill so i would replace that with a nobleman of a DW lightning. if you can please r/f my remnants of chaos. 9/10
Someone else just made a very similar comment and so I have eliminated [1] Royal Tribute for [1] Dark World Lightening. Thank you for the comment and I will return the favor.
EDIT: Could you please provide a link to that deck you wish me to comment? I do not believe I see it in you signature
I ran this deck before and here's my suggestions for it:
- 1 Goldd and Sillva (only because if you top draw w/o a discard option available, it is absolutely useless and rarely do people discard from hand anymore)
- 1 Assailant (Only because I tend to find having him w/o his key card to activate his effect sucks and is usually a dead draw)
- 1 Royal Tribute (this card should be one mained, one sided)
- 1 other card of your choice (you need more protection of monsters)
+ 2 Gravekeeper's Chief (The reason I add 2 of him is you got nothing to battle against Monarchs. Your only cards that can stop them are Assailant (but you need Necrovalley on the field), Smashing (you can only run one) and Mirror (you only can run 1). You need to think about the big problems instead of just rushing the field. Rushing the field is easy with this deck, maintaining it is the key.
+ 1 Spear Soldier or Guard (depending on meta around you) (Guard protects you from rushers. If that doesn't occur enough, Spear Soldier is best because he doesn't rely on Necrovalley to work)
+ 2 Enemy Controller/Lightning Vortex/Shrink (Pretty much any card that can even the battling playing field with monsters stronger than your own. If you can't stop their attacks to counter back, then you're in trouble.)
- [1] Sillva, Warlord of the Dark World
- [1] Royal Tribute
- [2] Dark Deal
+ [1] Lightening Vortex
+ [3] Solemn Judgment
The Lightening Vortex I don't really like in here because it increases the amount of cards I use that require discard, but I do see that I need to have more protection from monsters. I plan on acquiring [2] Enemy Controllers here soon and I plan on replacing the Lightening Vortex and something else with the Controllers.
I don't really agree with dropping [1] Gravekeeper's Assailant. With the Solemn Judgments mained, I think that my Necrovalley will have a higher chance of staying on the field. Gravekeeper's Assailant is also the answer to Monarchs, in my opinion. It is possible that I may try switching it out for a Gravkeeper's Guard but for now, I want to see how this deck does with [3] GK's Assailants.
I don't want to run Gravekeeper's Chief in this GKDW because I think the only way he can be useful in this format is adding draw power with Card of Safe Return. Since this version of GK/DW does not run Card of Safe Return, I don't think he's a good fit. I also redesigned this deck so as to eliminate hands full of Tribute and Dark World monsters, with nothing to get them out.
