let get this strait the indy heroclix rules are the revised rules that should be used in all of the clix lines marvel,dc,indy. for example. a flying character can not carry another flying character. thanks for your help
I do find it somewhat distressing to continue to hear people say the rules slow down the games... especially judges. I have played in several tournaments under the rules and even before they became rules (when I was a judge myself). I have yet to see a significant difference. It increases the planning, so now you have to think about where and what you want to do instead of just rushing out there and duking it out.
Of course, that is just my opinion, and you have your opinion too. Too bad we can't agree.
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
I have seen the slowing in the game due to too much time spent positioning. Nobody wants to chance being the first to get KO'ed. There seems to be less KOs in the alotted time in tournaments.
But it is cool that we agree to disagree.
Also, did you lose your judge's status? If so that is a shame.
Why is slowing the game down a bad thing? Having to think about movement instead of swinging first turn every turn makes the game a whole lot better. IMO
I like the fast paced game that HC was before the rules changes. I have little time to play games and the thought of playing a fast paced game with little super-heroes is what addicted me to this game. If I would have wanted a slower paced thinking game I would have stuck with Dungeons and Dragons, Champions, and chess.

No, there are plenty of venues. Unfortunately it's a little hard to explain in an open forum. One major part of the problem was, I like to play too much. I'll leave it at that.

Man it is a shame to see the three of you guys without judge status. You three are the most knowledgeable rules people on this forum (with the exception/inclusion of HeroComplex). It is a shame.
