I've been thinking a lot about this deck lately. It's a hybrid deck that tries to take advantage of the splashability of Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode in the promising new strategy of Monk-DAD. I'm just trying to think of a way to make it work. My main idea right now is to use it as more of an aggro deck that can synchro and draw quickly while using Stardust Assault for control and a pretty heavy beatstick.
Monk-Rose gives me really quick access to Stardust, and I can use Assault Beast or Gold Sarc for even faster setup for SD/AM to hit the tables. I was just wondering how to incorporate the DAD aspect of Monk-DAD.
Eh, I wouldn't exactly call Stardust Dragon/Buster "splashable". Usable yes, but not every Deck can make space without hurting it somehow. (Considering you need /Buster itself, Buster Mode, and probably something like Buster Beast.)
Though, I don't think DAD is really necessary either.

Haha that decklist is basically what I was able to come up with. I had completely forgotten about this deck being played at SJC. And here I was thinking I was original.
Although I didn't use the Destiny Engine. I used Machine Duplication with Tuningware. Oh, and I don't have CCV. I'll post the list in the Deck Depot.
And I know that using an /Assault Mode monster isn't really "splashable" given the amount of cards needed to use it properly, but it does fit into many decks pretty easily without becoming the dominant win condition. I'm definitely going to be proxying and playtesting this deck though.
Yeah, but if I don't really need it, I don't see any need to try to splash stuff in unless it REALLY supports the Deck somehow. Just being a generally "good" card alone isn't really enough unless it really IS that good and/or doesn't clash with my Deck somehow.
