A bit too good, propably. What you want there is an SRM Team with a full arc attack, so it would most likely either cost over 20 points or would have to have much lower defense or less SEs.
i think it needs to be a slow SRM team that costs a little more and has the AA next to its name, kinda like an RPG team. One could have camo, one could have decoy, one could have ap, and one could have AP with like IT(elite version).
...and the 3 different AA infantry units would go to RotS, Bannson's and the Highlanders, because the SC and SW have Partisan AAs, Swordsworn and Dragon's Fury have Partisan and DI Towed AAs, and House Liao and Stormhammers have DI Towed AAs. RotS and Bannson's have no AA, and the Highlanders have only one LE Partisan which nobody has.
I don't think we need an infantry with SE as the MASH vehicle is pretty much useless in our current gaming environmet. At least the MASH can ram and kill something but a medic with 0 damage is nothing more than sacrificial infantry. Not to mention it will cost a bomb too. Imagine a 15 pts infantry with slow speed , cannot attack at all and has a 6 attack with repair.
Mechanic? No need IMHO. we already got a JI100 and J-37 and they're pretty cheap anyway.
Oh I think we will see Medic/Infantry repair people.
Though I suspect they will be an LE in the next set or so. Take for instance like a Free Legion with Repair/Medic symbol. Wouldn't be totaly un beleiveable as they could still do 1 dmg and u know, plop around the feild. would be worth it then to pack around a 17-18 infantry peice that can heal other infantry units.
Might even be worth it to haul him around in a saxon or the likes so that you coulld unload, heal your firing formation or the primary. Then fire with your formation.
But mash is so not worth it at this time. If they gave mash multiple targets that they could heal. Say 2 or 3 like a capacity number or the likes. Then I saw Score it would be worth it. But a 22 point unit to heal a 17ish point unit dosn't quite work in my book.
I think an infantry unit with repair (foot only) and no damage value would be moderately useful and at least an interesting unit. Heck they would be a lot better than more pseudo hoverbikes or gun emplacement type infantry.
One thing that makes MASH units more worth their cost than a foot unit is that it can always ram for 2 damage even with a damage rating of zero and range that doesn't allow it to shoot very far. An infantry base is limited to its melee/ranged values (I wonder if the ability to ram was factored into point costs for units like Shandras etc that are cheaper than some infantry pieces).
Multiple targets would be nice for repairing, but "damage" would still need to be split. What would be cool is if anti-personnel worked with repair so that you could heal a formation. Yes, I know that AnP is ranged equipment, but technically, so is flamers and it's only used for close combat attacks.
