To day I got my Naomi Katina and in her dossier is said that the Mech Rooster is the following:
- Commander - Tara Bishop
- Leena Cochrane
- Naomi Katina
- Joel Brahe

The lance is the Command Lance from the Northwind Fusiliers, and this is the first complte lance from MW: DA.

But then I start looking at my Joel Brahe and saw that is markings belong to the First Kearny :rolleyes: :confused: :confused:

Can someone explain this to me????

It turns out that a lot of the command staff of the Northwind Fusilliers is taken from the First Kearny. (Check the faction dossier for the Northwind Highlanders that you get with the starter set.)

Also, though Joel Brane is a very skilled warrior, he's a bit of a slacker, and so Colonel Caden Senn (First Kearny commander) probably gets tired of his goofing off. I'd imagine that Caden assigned Joel to the Fusilliers as a chance to give Joel a taste of real responsibility (hence he's in a Command squad within the Fusilliers). Also, I bet Caden assigned Joel to the Fusilliers to get the insubordinate jackass out of his hair.

But Joel is pretty "chill" with the whole affair. Plus he gets to hang out with a bunch of hot chicks all the time.

It could be a couple things:

1. someone at WK screwed up
2. O5P is outright wrong
3. the lance roster is out of date (Joel recently transferred out of that regiment)
4. Joel's dossier is out of date (Joel recently transferred into of that regiment)
5. misID on the part of O5P on the Koshi pilot for that lance
6. O5P misfiled Joel's file with the wrong regiment (we have seen mistyped and mislabelled files now)

Personally I'm thinking its eaither 3 or 4.

cavingjan, you should check out the dossier for the Highlanders. Often the command staff of the Fusilliers consist of First Kearny officers. Brane is one of them.

Since Wizkids has chosen to establish that there are ridiculously few mechs in operation during the Dark Age (2 defending Northwind? Jonah Levin defending Terra by himself? WTF?) it really isnt to inconceivable that they mix-match from regiments when they need a full-strength lance.

This Lance Roster is for the Black Watch command lance . .. the Black Watch is an elite unit within the other units. Not large enough to be one of the three levels. Membership is by command staff recommendation only. Colonel Senn had to recommend Brane for membership in this elite group. Senn and Brane may have style differences, but Brane is recognized as a truly elite Mechwarrior with command potential or he wouldn't have been forwarded to this command.

What surpirses me about the fluff is all the members. Two of the best the Highlanders have, one decent and the worst HL Unique. Hmmm..
