Well, after speaking with Kevin Goddard (Draddog) quite a lot over the last week, my faith was starting to be restored. The more I spoke with him, the more my respect for him grew. I already was quite impressed with him after Origins and, the more I have to do with him, the more he impresses me.


I believe there is hope for the future. I am sure that, after today a great many of you agree with me. I am hanging in there expecting things to improve in the not too distant future.

For a long time, WKs presence here was something like a ghost - you had a vague idea they might be watching but thats it. Now we are getting real feedback, even If they dont' give the answers, at least we know they are reading.
Polls like the "Faction Purity" poll are getting to wizkids for evaluation, and then are placed on their website proves they care for our opinion. They may be slow changing things, but heck, you cant have it all...
But nor can it rain all the time...

I knew they were listening before... I KNOW they are listening now. Since the "I quit" threads, Kevin and I have been in contact every single day. He has done a lot of working looking into the state of MW as we see it. He has done this while simultaneously working on the release of MK 2.0. He has had quite a workload and has still taken the time to stay back at work, send me playtest info and read some quite long and convoluted emails. He also acted as a go-between with Kelly and voiced my opinions to her. She was most receptive and happy to converse on various subjects.

Even if they do not get things "just right" as we would like to see them, I am convinced they want to work with, rather than, as some would like to see it, in spite of the community to ensure the game of MW becomes the best game it can be. Regardless of any changes which may or may not occur in the foreseeable future, I am comforted by the fact that the PTB care enough to take so much time to listen to us even after we are less than complimentary to them.

I'm excited at current events too. It's good that WizKids is listening. It's very interesting to know that you have been talking with them so regularly. I'm very encouraged by the contact they have with the more successful players of the game.

I trust that you will convey your concerns to them and I applaud you for being patient and doing so. I know it's a lot of effort.

Now if we can only get them to do a little something about charge.:grin:

Guys, please do me a favour... Please drop the "I quit threads deleted" line. I do believe Kevin thought he was doing the right thing when he deleted them. Whether it was or not was a different matter. I bet that, after seeing the poo storm it created, he would have left them up given the chance. Hindsight is a marvellous thing...

He also came out and apologised for his comments which I mentioned in my thread. I appreciate that.

We all know WK policy on information. I think, after some other troubles they have had in the past (and in other incarnations) with intellectual property, they are overly cautious, but that is understandable. I think that this policy hurts them. I also think they are starting to realise this. I think todays events are a perfect example of attempts to make steps in the right direction.

Lets leave the past in the past and try to take the game forward in the best possible manner.

Can you talk to someone about the "Delrio" books?
The books are so bad, they need to recall them and rework the story, seriously.

I don't think Narcissus can do something about the Del Rio books, Bigbadbear. It's best to not see them as part of the MechWarrior universe, but as a scenario for a saturday morning cartoon show gone horribly wrong.
