A little birdie (envoy) said...that there was going to be a Mercenary Centurion that has a mace and shield. It's CA #116 (LE)

From the picture I saw, it was actually pretty lame. It looked more like a Roman gladiator than a BattleMech. The stats, and the figure itself pretty much show the future of the Counter Assault Marquee - melee combat.

Has anyone else seen this "envoy sneak peak"? Or maybe it was just a figment of my dreams (partied too hard last night), or maybe the birdie spoke a foreign language and I misunderstood, or maybe...

As a fellow BM, your battlemaster better hope I don't know him/her or even meet'm. WK on that page noted that sharing this information is grounds for removal. My opinion, the BM that showed you should be banned. Booted, kicked, etc. WK already has a hard time trusting their pool of volunteers and we argue with them constantly to get the players and us more involved. Now that they have, and look a BM leaking intel, freaking great.

Guys chill. Do you really think that wizkids doesn't expect stuff to get leaked? If you want something to stay a secret, you don't tell several hunderd people.

They probably put some faith in their volunteers of Battlemasters across the world, otherwise what are we here for???!!!

I found it interesting that with critical mass they actually had "leakable" info (notes on all the figures shown in the promo shots) but nothing like that for Counterassault

Won't be hard to find out who it was, they just have to look up where ezielinski is most often recorded as playing, and speak to any local battlemasters about this.

And yes, if Wizkids wanted to keep it secret, they could just not show anyone, but perhaps they believe in giving the Battlemasters credit for being adults who can live up to their word.

It wasn't a BM that showed me, it was a store owner.

Either way there could be lots of trouble for this breach in Protocol.

The store where I found out was in Milwaukee, a place I was visiting, not playing at - and the store owner was way too opinionated regarding the propsed rule changes, so I wouldn't play there even if I wanted to. I also heard form other people in the store looking at MW:DA stuff that he was a prize support hog. Seems like no one likes him, so no one plays at his store and he keeps all the prize support for himself (I saw full sets of prize support in his case, dating back from June 2003).

Don't give me #### just because he couldn't keep his mouth shut. There are other people, now that I look around MWRealms Rumor Mill threads, who have already talked about it anyway.
