I won my local event last night, and had the option of picking between Evan Kurst and Geoff Morgan. Now I primarily play Liao, but I viewed Kurst as somewhat of a knockoff of the other Ti'Sang. Sure the 4 Target Energy was very tempting, but the Longbow just called to me. 5 Targets, 5 Damage Streak with a Targeting Comp on the first click and 14" range? No Heat modifiers until click 4, then its a possible ammo explosion with a possible shutdown? I could not pass it up. Now, I am somewhat unsure as I noticed that Kurst has brawling a few clicks down. Also, it looks like a drunken Kobold painted the longbow. It is a VERY sloppy paint job. (Something Really cool, after 12 clicks of Damage, Geoff still has 4 damage primary).

Bit of Mechawarrior Lore. Geoff is the brother of Mavis Morgan. Mavis (female if you hadn't guessed) was given Republic citizenship, Geoff really didn't like the republic. Geoff was really pissed when Mavis was imprisoned for selling illict Narcotics. Now he has a personal grudge against the Republic, and Bannson's Raiders. Geoff also named the Mech "DownPour". Appropraite I feel as with Streaks and a targeting comp, he can "rain" death.

The Longbow was definately the right choice when you compare the units side to side. Isn't the Geoff an LE6? Anyway, I wanted Kurst because he's in one of the books. But, I also want Morgan because he's a merc and I need him in my Merc army for the "BIG" games I play.

Quite an accomplishment. Just what event did you play, yesterday, when the first chances to win these were played today?

Don't bother with Morgan. He's just Melicien Tetro with Streaks instead of Armor Piercing.
