how come Wizkids isnt updating the Map on INN? the Liao Incursion has Taken Liao and a number of planets and the map only shows the Worlds taked by Liao Seperatists. and how come Sword Sworn has worlds all the way in Prefecture IX but in Fortress of Lies they never mention them?

i think Wizkids really has to update the map it would make things easier to understand and more congruent

I would argue that it's because:
1. The staff at WK is sick of being bashed on these forums for any and every change they make to anything relating to the game or the universe, no matter how small,
2. BattleTech fans are sick of the often arbitrary and unexplained events which WK haphazardly throws into the Dark Age universe (The Highlanders in Prefecture VII for example),
3. MechWarrior players (People who started with the Dark Age or perhaps the MechWarrior PC games and had no real experience with BattleTech proper) don't particularly care what happens in the universe,
4. MechWarrior doesn't make WK as much money as Mage Knight so they're not putting anywhere near as much effort into its backstory.

the map isn't updated as the HPG is down and there's no way news can be transmitted around the IS.

In reality i think there is simple too many things going on in the Mechwarrior universe and its owners that wizkids is now concentrating on the most important aspect of Mechwarrior , the game and selling it to the masses.
