Also when the Paladin leaves for Terra, a new Kinght Errant comes form Terra. Tara Campbell sees Anastasia Kerensky and the Knight Errant talking off to the side and it was obvious that they had some history between them. My guess is that Knight Errant is Raul Ortega.
I'm sure you're right, Wantec, since Coleman wrote both books. I was pleased to see his version of Kerensky back in this novel.
Also, although it's hardly a hidden surprise, GioAvanti is a descendent of Avanti's Angels, a merc group in the old storyline. I forget the first name . . .
Actually, it's more likely that Niccòlo GioAvanti is descended from the same family as Marcus Avanti, but not Marcus directly. IIRC, Marcus was estranged from his family.

Thank God.
No. She doesn't have sex in the book even once. No one does. As far as psycho, no, she actually acts like a decent leader. No craziness, no leveling cities, etc. That's Malvina's area.

Gray Death Legion, we miss you...
:( :( I read that book too. *tear* :( :( They were one of the best Merc units ever. They shouldn't have been forgotten. :( :(

But the Falcons did use two of their nukes. One trying to hit the dropship carrying the Paladin and Alexia Wolf as it was taking off from some planet, but it hit another dropship instead. The second one was in high altitude over the Capitol of Syke.
Also, there's the strong possibility that they killed off Tara Bishop after only mentioning her once or twice in the novel.

Yeah, several people on the WK forums are having troulbe coming to terms with the whole nukes thing. Others want that part about Bishop and Duke being dead to be re-written. :p
They KILLED Tara Bishop and the Duke?! Pile of ####! But when i can find the book,I'm getting it. One other thing,I know the gray Death Legion got massacured on Hesperus II,but were they completely wiped out?

Wha.....?
NUKES?!?
My God! Why even call them a Clan anymore?!? They dont even act like Clanners anymore! At all! Why not just drop the term "clan" from Battletech alltogether Wizkids?:angry::angry::angry::angry:
Yes, the GDL is dead and gone. Have been for 60+ years by the time of the HPG crash. Thus the "long forgotten" mention in BotI.
Did anyone else get the sneaking suspicion that the opponent who turned on Alexia Wolf during her Trial of Position would turn out to be Anastasia Kerensky?
We know that Anastasia took out four opponents in her ToP and that she was described by Galaxy Commander Baldric Kell as "impulsive and impatient," so such an action wouldn't be too difficult to understand. And as Marthe Pryde showed, taking out your fellow testee is an easy way to rack up a victory. I could totally see Anastasia doing that.
Alas, I figure if this theory were true then Anastasia would be the last person that Alexia would want to follow. But the fact that it was mentioned several times led me to think it might be relevent somehow. Too bad.
