I don't think they do, Rannax. They seem to move together to me, but I could be wrong. Maybe you should pilot an Eyrie in the roleplay. That might simplify things, and they look awesome!
Feh. I live in Montana. We here pronunce thangs any dern way we pleez. And if'n ye dun like et, then we kin go an' hang ye! ;)
As for an Eyrie, I would not pilot anything classified as 'light' unless it is a Cougar or Adder toting a pair of ER PPCs. I may have a Jade Falcon character, but I still prefer to be as spoiled as a Ghost Bear (that is to say, nothing light, thanks, we are too rich for that). Which is beside the fact that I can easily adjust my MW4:Mercs Stormcrow to mimic my character's Gyrfalcon. Basically, light 'Mechs are annoying because I cannot fit all the firepower I want on them. Unlike Mediums, where I can stuff just enough firepower on them. Heavies are often well armed enough. And Assaults are heavily armed enough, but usually too d*** slow. Which is why I liked the Mad Cat MkII, the Blood Asp, and Ichiba Pryde's Shrike variant (although it pales in terms of firepower next to my Mad Cat Mk II with over/under-slung class 5 and 2 A/Cs and LRM10s, which deliver a lot of hurt at a long range and reload (barely) fast enough for my tastes). Indeed, Jiyi Chistu has (almost) the stats I would want for a figure. Except mine would be 6/18 Energy for 4 damage and 0/10 Ballistic for 4 damage with Armor Piercing and a larger forward arc (at least 180 degrees, so I could use my favorite tactic in MW4:Mercs--especially when facing anything that is a heavy or assault and I am in their range--run around in circles, blazing away with RACs! I am Rac, God of Spray and Pray!).
Which is beside the reason that I asked, which is because there is a Benj Malthus on eBay that has the left A/C pointing straight down while the lasers (and the opposite A/C) are pointing (relatively) straight.
Post Script: In keeping with the new design paradigm, the energy would probably be 2 with Pulse as primary, to keep the thing from being a charge-monkey.
