MechWarrior December Tournament Prizes!

Because of the Holidays, WizKids is offering a shorter tournament schedule in the month of December. Tournaments will return full-swing in January!

For the month of December, the following prizes will be available for specific events. Make sure your retailer and Envoy know what events you want to participate in, so that they can schedule now! LE's may show up again in different tournament format types.

Please Note: These kits are subject to change without notice. Prize kit contents may vary depending on figure availability. While WizKids will make every attempt to ensure that every venue who signs up for the appropriate event receives the prize kit as stated, last minute changes and substitutions may occur.

I sure hope it's a mistake. Everyone I know that wanted those uniques already have them. Oh Well, I'll still play though, prize or no prize.

While I definitely understand the 2 events for December, I feel 3 events would have been more fitting, as in reality there's only 1 holiday .... and besides .... during holidays some people play more :)

Well, several holidays bunched together towards the end of the month - same difference. And lots of students out of school - would have been a good opportunity for extra tournaments.

I was expecting an AoD demo kit. Draddog had mentioned that in the chat - he said that we would be able to try out the rules before the set released. When else would they do it except December?

Well, I don't think this eliminates the possibility of an AoD demo in December - they never listed demos in the " Tournament Prizes!" articles before, after all.

I do find it odd to see normal uniques as tournament prizes, though I suppose it really isn't all _that_ different from having tournament prizes showing up in boosters already. Still, I'd rather they just offered more grey-based units - if only because they're harder to get in boosters ;)

Uniques as prizes... I wonder what they are going to come in. I doub that they are just going to come in an envolope to the venue... :)

The worst part is, if it is a mistake Wk won't change it on the webiste and we won't find out what the prizes are until the venue recieves them.

Good! Then, maybe people will play because they want to play, not so they can LE hunt...

I hope this is an indication that WK is committing to support the unrestricted format, in light of set retirement...

They may be angling for less compeditive players if the compeditive players already have theirs.

I dont have any of these 4 units, and would love to have them. But I'm too busy to go to tourneys anymore...

Great. I finely pull an LE and it's offered as a prize. Oh well, I still love you, Tina. People say here defense is too low but she almost won me a mech battle- my main force charged up, blocking line of sight to her, and she sat in water and streaked every turn. Very nice.
