Check the fiction section on the WK site... the PDA entry seems to state that Paladin Jonah Levin was just announced as the new Exarch! Trippy. No wonder his badass Atlas retired.
Uh... I don't know how to read. Yeah, that's it. That's why I didn't know about it. I just plain and simple don't know how to read. In fact, I don't even know what I'm typing right now. Any manner of gobbledygook could be coming out of my keyboard, and I wouldn't even know. I don't even know what that last sentence meant. Or that one. Or that one. Or that one. Or that one.
...
Or THAT ONE!
Okay, I'm outta the loop. Thanks fer the heads-up.
actually the latest couple of novels+the ones by the older authors have gotten better. in my opinion the last one wast quit possibly the best, including the old cbt ones.
Which novel did it say that Levin was elected Exarch? I'd like to know to see if I was just being ignorant while reading one of the ones I have, or if I just don't have that one.
The novel that has Paladin Jonah Levin elected Exarch is titled "The Scorpion Jar" and it's by Jason M. Hardy. I found it to be a very good book. Much better than some of the others, such as Hunters of the Deep.
I didn't realize Scorpion Jar was out yet. I'm glad there is some glimmer of hope for BT novels, as I too felt that Hunter's of the Deep was really poor. When I just don't care what's going on, I don't care about about the characters, it's a bad thing, and I like the Sea Fox Clan. I've yet to finish it, so maybe it picks up in the end, but so far, I'm not impressed.
I will cruise down to my Local book store and see if it's in, because Levin's Promotion came as news to me this morning as well.
O come on that's not fair comparing a book to Hunters of the Deep... cause that book just plain sucked... its like comparing the taste of cake to the taste of dirt...
i haven't even read it yet and i've had it since it came out...
as for The Scorpion Jar and all the books after it i'm gonna have to take a trip to Sam Goody's soon for those...
but atleast i knew that Paladin Jonah Levin is now Exarch Jonah Levin ;)

Still a good lot better than the Delrio trilogy and Ruins of Paper..
I wonder who Jonah's replacement is? The Republic will have appointed three new Paladins within a month...
The only thing that disappointed me was how little time Victor got. He deserved a lot more (if only another chapter) in that book...I mean, two chapters, and that's it! No more! Poor Victor (Stackpole must be seriously miffed).
Good question...
Three?? They replaced Victor and Crow with Sinclair and Lakewood.
Although I did have some respect for Victor, it was probably about time he died. I pity him for not going out in his sleep, but I suppose, Victor was never one to go quietly.
