Are there any CBT novels out there that deal with the Word of Blake? I don't really care about the Jyhad ( I cannot spell tonight :tired: ), but i am interested in some of the fiction surrounding the WoB, especially sincve reading Blood Avatar. Help please....
There are also WoB appearances in a few other novels, such as Close Quarters (a WoB raid on Hachiman in the Draconis Combine) and Double-Blind (WoB machinations in the Periphery).
I can't believe no one has mentioned the Blood of Kerensky trilogy, which ends with the schism that splits Comstar in two. If you want to know what created the WoB (as well as learn about the initial Clan invasion of the Inner Sphere), you gotta check out those books. If fact, if you read only three CBT novels, make it those three. The cover the most important event of CBT and do a good job covering the workings of the universe.
You get a basic idea of the driving character of the WoB in the Blood of Kerensky trilogy; Comstar goes the secular road and the Wobbies go nutso.
'Double Blind', I know, offers a view into internal WoB politics; first CBT novel I owned.
I want to say it's 'Malicious Intent' that has the WoB taking of Terra in it, to which the Precentor Martial replies "Well, they can take the responsibility of defending it against the clans. Comstar'll worry about stopping the clanners a bit short of Terra, first."

Eh, not really. I mean, yeah, we see Demona Aziz throw her hissy fit and stomp out of the First Circuit chamber but that's it. We don't actually get the formation of WoB or anything like that. So if you absolutely have to see the exact minute of WoB's birth, by all means check out the epilogue to the third volume, Lost Destiny. Otherwise the trilogy isn't much use for learning about WoB, except in an indirect way (mentioned below).

Not really. There aren't actually any Wobbies at this point, for one thing. Like I mentioned, we see Aziz flip out and storm off, vowing vengeance, but that's it. You actually get more of an idea about the future WoB's character from Myndo Waterly in both the Blood of Kerensky trilogy and the Warrior trilogy. She's the spiritual progenitor of Word of Blake and her attitudes are a good representation of some of the extreme factions that later develop in WoB. Demona Aziz, on the other hand, isn't exactly the typical Blakist as we come to know them later. For one thing, she thinks the creation of the Com Guards was a mistake and against Blake's words.

It does have a little bit of Operation Odysseus in it. I had forgotten that one. Not a whole lot, mind you, (maybe three chapters) but some.
