Ya know, I have heard somethin about every faction in all of the info sources but it seems as if the Stormhammers have just disappeared. Anyone know where the Landgrave has run off to and what he's been up to?

Yep, Stormhammers are gone, as a faction. But Jasek will return in Stainer colors with new ride called 'Scion' Eisenfaust. Stormhammers have merge with Stainer, one of the last units was a Hellstar, which does exactly what his name implies (last set with Stormhammers is Firepower and it will be retired in about year time).

Things like that happen. Keep in mind that in informal and unrestricted games all your Stormhammers units can still all be used. Do your worst.

I play Stormhammers too. So I wanted to switch to see what the units were like. Some units were good and some were bad, but most were in the middle.

And it would have been nice to have some fiction backing of the switch other than "How Jasek feels". But I think the Steiner units are good and easy to play. Have fun.

I would think somewhere along the line WK will back the merging of the Stormhammers with House Steiner with some fiction. My question now is will the Stormhammers be a unit with in HS and what will HS give Jasek as command. My guess is that HS will come for the Isle of Skye and when they do it will the Stormhammers bearing HS colors with Jasek in command and then HS will make the Isle of Skye his domain?! Anyone have other ideas?

Well, not to be a downer, but with two rumors on the board of Jasek being now dead (One to Jade Falcon warriors, one to a Clan Wolf Star Commander), I do not think he will play a big role with House Steiner anymore. Which is a shame, because he was one of the characters I liked out of the faction leaders (Along with Kev Rosse and Kerensky).

Hopefully though, the first one is still just a rumor, and the second one is only just another EisenFaust pilot.

Given the pilot card, I doubt that Jasek is dead.

One more thing. The portrait in the pilot card didn't seem to match my mental image of Jasek based on the books I've read. But then, neither did Julian Davion's portrait fit into my mental image.

Overall, Stormhammers/Steiner has become a sort of a middle of the road low key faction, sort of like Davion. Few in uniques, relying mostly on a base of average to strong nonunique pieces as well as the gunslinger recruitment. Steiner probably has the most ignorable faction introduction of all, a nonunique and totally ordinary black based Ursa.

You are forgeting the mighty Zibler tank, which seems to be so widely use that we had to get another.
