I forgot to report one final piece of information. What was the chosen faction for the anti-faction war?

Before I do, I want to preface this by saying that SP13 was adamant that the chosen faction was NOT going to be eliminated. Instead, they are going to be attacked by the Ares mechs and put through a "world of hurt."

Jade Falcon and House Liao led the voting, with the Republic, House Kurita, and Clan Nova Cat in a tight pack not too far behind. I don't know which 2 of the three got the most votes after all the top 16 battles were complete, but the faction chosen was....

I was under the impression earlier that ROTS would not be attacked? Maybe I misread, oh well. Or was it WHO Clan Wolf would attack?? I can't remember, it's late. Someone please clarify this addled mind:eek: :eek:

Zxqueb got a Vanguard Factory Set? AWESOME! That sure will make up for his original case coming without a single unique. :)

And the Republic shall be attacked? Sure debunks a lot of the Ares theories of them coming OUT of the Fortress to lay the hurt down. Methinks this may be a problem while the Republic is trying to set up all those defenses and all in their new territory.

Glad my Nova Cats and Kuritans are saved from them, although if they had been targeted, they would have been smashed like so many stravags before them. :Clan arrogance:

What will the Ares attack have on the effect of the game though, I wonder?

I was under the same impression that the ROTS would not be attacked. Hmm let me see what i can find while searching thru old posts about the ares.

Well, the fact that every faction was an option to be named means one of three things:

1) It's not any of the currently existing factions behind it.
2) They are cleverly disguising whose behind it by attacking themselves first (or the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing).
3) WizKids had a couple of options as to who was behind it in case one of their options was chosen.

I sort of knew this was coming. All I gotta say is bring that monstrocity on!!!!!

In my conversations with the powers at be, the impression I got was that the owner for the storyline was part of the "re-organization." Therefore, things won't be exactly as previously advertised, as indicated by the confusion right before Origins as to who ultimately chooses the faction.

to be honest it didnt entirely surprise me that RoTS was chosen. They do make the best story. They are now "surrounded", "desperate" etc etc.

That said they are the best candidates to be given MORE PAIN. Human beings are sadists after all. :cool:

Glad to see that the Falcons dodged the Ares bullet! I really didn't expect that ROTS would be under attack from whomever the Ares belong to. These days it seems like everyone and thier grandmother is attacking the Republic. Man, I really want to see how this stroy will pan out.

Well, if they were so inclined, the PTB could always declare that the "Republic" in this circumstance are those forces outside the Fortress, being brought back into the fold by Levin's boys... not that I think that's actually what will happen, mind. ;)
