Have a question about dying, counters and res'ing. Do warriors lose all their counters once they die? Here is the reason I ask...
scenario ( 500 point armies so 5 actions/turn) I have a ki Devil with 1 click left to death, I push him and consequently kill him. He leaves the battlefield. I then use my grave digger to res him roll well getting 2 clicks damage on the res back in. he is in base contact with graverobber and mechanic who then heals him for 3 bringing him to full life. ( well 1 past but in this case stops at full clicks). So no of my 5 moves I've used 3 : pushing Ki devil, ressing ki devil, healing Ki devil. Is there any reason I can't move the newly res'd devil this same turn he died still having 2 actions left and him presumably with no tokens since he left playing field? If this won't work please explain. I should mention I've been playing MK for a grand total of 3 days but in all the reading I've done I don't see any rules preventing this.
When a figure "dies", it looses all counters on it. When that figure is Necromanced, it is ready for action. Technically, it's the only way of giving a figure two actions in 1 turn.
Last time I had seen this question, this did not work.
I'd have to dig through the rules, FAQ, forums (shudder) and/or errata to find out where it was though.
But the basic theory was that since you cannot give a figure two actions in the same turn, counters clear off the dead figures at the same rate as if they were alive.
Wizkid's didn't want you to be able to pull the stunt you outlined above. However... it's possible that this has changed since then. I have work to go to in about five minutes, so I can't find the references for you yet. :}
If you search for the thread titled "5 very important question for demo" you'll see that DemoMonkey ruled on this: tokens clear at the normal rate regardless of the life or death of the figure. So if you resurrect your Devil the turn he was pushed to death you not only can't give him another action that turn, you can't give him an action next turn either: he has to rest, just as if he never died. :(
Action tokens are removed from dead figures in exactly the same manner as they are removed from live figures.
In other words, you can't remove action tokens from a figure unless you didn't do anything with it that turn... regardless of its living/dead status.
In your scenario, you could not make any additional actions with the Ki Devil in that turn, nor could you remove action tokens from it (because you gave it an action that turn). At the end of your NEXT turn, you can remove action tokens from the Ki Devil, and on your turn after that, you may give the Ki Devil an action.
Note that this may change your strategy about when you want to necro a figure. It may not always be in your best interest to necro a figure you're going to have to wait another two turns to use again, especially if it could potentially be killed (again) before that time.
