for conquest dont you think they should change a couple abilities?
specifically nimble and sneak attack?
cause now they are pointless abilities were all non uniques have a 360* arc. so now theres no point in me using one of my favorite peices the standard nightfeind. well i dont mind nimble not that many people got to use it right anyway onlly young rich and amazon huntress and there both considered uniques in conquest so they still need it.
anyway wouldnt you guys like to see something in the errata to change theses abilities to were they can be used?
I dont think when 2 massive armies clash anyones doing any "sneaking" just my Opinion.
and there not going to errata one special ability for conquest.
conquest was designed so ppl coul duse all there figures. even the ones that really didnt even see the lightof day (like weak dwarven fusers, pikemen, all sorts). so the figure swith these relatively powerfull abilities ar enot going to be dominant.
Rebellion i sabout a few kety figures. conquest is about attrition losses do to massive battling
Since when do the single based figures have a 360 arc? I usually play dungeons, but am starting to get into the rebellion style. Could you clear this up for me? thanks.
In Conquest, all non-unique figures have a 360 degree front arc and no rear arc.
This includes mounted figures.
The only 100% guaranteed useless abilities in Conquest are Battle Fury and Berserk. Battle Fury has no effect whatsoever, and Berserk, which has at least some benefit on its own in Rebellion (preventing capture and killing captives) is now only a hindrance that prevents the figure from making a ranged attack.
If Wizkids starts changing abilities for its different formats(not counting Dungeons as its a different game) then people are going to start complaining that its getting too complicated. A few abilities are hurt by the conquest rules and others are enchanced. Sweep? Venom....ouchie!
In a sense, WizKids has already changed the mechanic of one special ability for Conquest: Command. I have to think that this was, in part, done because the "morale healing" half of Command is rendered useless by the Conquest rules.
I would personally not have a problem with Battle Fury and Berserk also being somehow changed for Conquest. It may be wishful thinking, but these special abilities are currently wasted points in the format...
The Demoralized healing ability of command is nice but it was never its main draw point, while its great to heal the figure for free you still have to get it in base with the Command unit, and if something goes Demoralized its usually pretty slow so most won't be able to crawl back.
The loss of demoralized figures isn't a big deal, speeds up the game without them as chaff.
Command does become huge in Conquest, you can get away without using it in Rebellion but you need those actions so your forced into using Command figures, they made it a very key ability.
so mounteds have a a full arc covering their whole base. ok cause the way we all play down here is that they keep their are and nothing changes. and wouldn't this render shakeoff useless. can someone clear this up or verify it?:p :D
By mounted uniques in conquest. So you are right about shake off being less of a factor but charge and ram get a boost. Now a rammer can be placed sideways and ram a larger amount of figs. Charger get basicly an added 2 in or so to their charge distants. They can move their 5-7 in charge distance and swing the rear of the fig around ( distance is from center do to new spot) and charge with the rear. This gives them a charge distance of 7-9 in. Alot of people get caught off gaurd by this at first. If you do not understand then just get a mount out and you'll figure it out.
