Someone(I know it was my little brother but he denies everything and my moms belives him) broke the left wing of my Solo Tormentor. I tried two types of glue and both didnt work at all. I hel dthe wing where I wanted it for 30 seconds like the box says but they it falls right off. Is there a good brand that works well in glueing figures back together. This was a clean break where is was originaly glued just so ya know.
I used the Krazy Glue Pen and it did not work at all. Mabye becasue it was a liquid and not a gel. I also tried QuickTite and it was a gel which also didnt work at all.
You can goober the gel better and it still dries fairly quick. the only set back with superglue is if you get over spill it tends to make an ugly white blotch on the plastic resin.
Artificial Nail Glue (Like a lady would use to put on fake nails), is the best, have repaired about 20 figs with no problems after stealing a bottle from the girlfriend.
collja, did you realise that the nail glue is the axact same cyanoacrylate glue as superglue at twice the price? Usually, it just comes in a tube with an oval shaped neck (ratehr than round for superglue) to make it easier to put on nails. Just trying to save everyone a penny or two.
krazy glue, nail glue and super glue, are cyanocrylates, thou hey can be strong , they arent very resistant against torsion (they can fix your wing prob, but they cant stand the regular turning a piece gets), plus, depending on the plastic, it tends to leave vapor mark on the figure ( little white speckles around the spot you used it).
my personal recommendation is 5 minute epoxy, heck, even 30 secon mix is good enough, its clear, insanely strong, and it doenst leave vapor marks. 5 minute leaves you some time to work out wich position you need before the glue sets, but once its done, its done for ever.
