i dont know if this has been asked yet but i was just wondering whats the largest army anyone has ever played with.did u finish it? or took to long so u got tired and stopped. how long did it take you to play?
I played 1k (big batle with 10k total points)
I was In Stevens point where it was a 2 on 2 battle each siding having 10k. My friend Bashkar played it in and the battle should be covered in the next issue of scrye. I didn't play in it but it took 12 or so hours at least to play.
I've got my 10k army ready to rumble once I find someone who wants to face off against my EL ranged units :)
The Frothing one has done about 2,500 points on a table
The combined forces of the players totalled about 2,500 points. Mostly uniques and the Rabbidgerbal also used his rebel tank. mind you this was long before thoughts of some conquest rules to keep it simple.
The game played a good 3 1/2 hours.
Everyone should play a huge skermish game at least once. It's a whole different game when so much is being played at once. The Rabbidgerbal enjoyed it very much.
Someone also mentioned trying to play 100 point armies too. the opposite end of the spectrum makes for a quick game and a chance to use your cheaper figures.
Ah but with Conquest, solid armies and quick play you can get done in a 4,000 pt game in 2 hours. The one I played in had 1,100 pts worth of casualties after 2 hrs, so out of 4,000 total over 25% had been killed.
I plan on using the conquest rules, though I will need a larger area to play on then the 4’x5’ table I have now. Using the conquest rules I need about 80 square feet of playing area! For those of you that have played a large-scale game, how large a space was used?
i think the biggest that i did was a 500 point army. it had a lot of uniques in it so did the opponet so it didnt seem like that much was out there. it was fun to be able to use some of your big stuff for a change. i recomend doing it.
