the problem with communism is it looks good on paper and may work well for small communities and appeals to the poor. but when you haev everyonme contributing and no economy or freedoms life will never get any better.

Communism vs Capitalism.

The difference is that in one case the government owns the business, in the other, business owns the government.

I fail to see the real difference...

Communism is actually true democracy. That #### that Stalin preached was his own brand. In communism everybody has an equal vote, unfortunately people will still revere so a few will gain power through influence making communism relatively worthless.

Oh, so now you want to debate true communism...

I consider myself a true communist, but true communism can and will never exist.

It requires everyone to believe themselves equal and to work equally. The human race is awash in people who believe themselves to be better (bigger, stronger, smarter, or by birth) and those who are power hungry. It also contains many who are just plain lazy and will do as little as possible to further the human good.

Stalin attempted to overcome these weaknesses but because he was power hungry and thought he was good enough to change all of human nature, he brought about the complete destruction of true communism and made it a dirty word.

Not that I am against communism, but I will point out the name given to communists by several old movies and Simpson episodes;"Commun-NUTS":eek: OK I understand that is completely not true for the average citizens but when you have big nations like Russia trying to have that kind of govt. the average person is bown to be relegated to a common poor life. Remember all of those secret polices and spying on the average citizen:confused: ? All of those bad leaders like Stalin and feniacl neo-soviets who try to hold the world hostige with nukes in all of those movies and Tom Clancy novels gave communism a bad name (and legacy in some countries).
