Ok, can anyone tell me (usually) where WK hands out all the free figures? I heard they were tossing uniques in to the crowd last year, where should i be for that?

You heard wrong ... they just don't hand out free uniques, you need to play in some of the games at their booth ...

And it's not uniques, it's LE's, anyway ...

I don't know about at Origins, but at GenCon last year they WERE throwing uniques into the crowd, after the big team game. My buddy got beaned in the head with a Storm Golem....of course I managed to score the amazing yellow Khamsin freelancer.....

GenCon and Origins will probably not be the same as last year. Origins they gave away LE's for just about anything such as playing in demos. Warlords who demoed at Origins got free LE's by the handful. By GenCon they had scaled it back to only the winner of a demo getting an LE and warlords got free LE's based on how many hours they worked. Im betting they will be even harder to get this year because of the sheer number of people who will be there who wants them and the small number avialable.

The Fabled Unique toss happened late one day in the Miniature room after the Team story line tournament ended with a ton of the storyline figures unclaimed. A few wizkids people and warlords decided to toss the unclaimed prizes into the crowd. It was a mad house (fun, but a madhouse) and I doubt they will do it again. I heard a few people got hurt(not badly, but still).

That does sound extremely fun. Sometimes earning your prize feels better. Warlords do deserve those prizes, expecially if you work.

WizKids is also usually good about giving out MK Metal figures at most conventions. I recieved a Faith Healer and a figure w/ a gun whose exact name I forget.

I was told last year at dragoncon (i was one of the warlords throwing the figs out at gencon) is that they got in trouble for throwing all of those figs to the crowd, and they definatly were not going to do it again.

Ahh yes the Fabled Uniques toss. I remember it well. It was just after the team campaign tourny. Which I wish they were doing this year because it really was so much fun. But anyway the tourny ended everyone kinda standing around nothing much going on. So I decide to go outside for a minute. Have a quick smoke and call home to see if everyone is doing alright. 10 minutes later I return and every body and their mama has a storm golem!!! :confused: DOOOHHHHHHH
