Coud someone fill me in abouth the close combat attack formation. Do you get any bonuses?!

well there are 2 kinds of attack formations:

1)ranged attack formation
3 to 5 figs of THESAME affiliation standing next to eachother all having a clear shot (in range and not hindered by terrain) all give the primary attacker +2 to hit 1 target (so a bonus if 5 figs are shooting of +8 to hit something).

2)close combat formation
2 to 3 figs of THESAME affiliation standing AGAINST THESAME enemy (DO NOT have to be touching eachother except for shyft/MS) all give the primary attacker +1 to hit 1 target (note if 1 fig stands to the Back arc of the opposing fig you get another +1) so a bonus of +2 to hit 1 target (+3 if one of them stands in the back).

Note:
Conquest rules are different (all figs get +1 to hit and +1 damage per fig in attack formation) and you can have bigger formations.

seems not so useful as range attack formations but hey!

unlimited:
range:3-5 attackers, +2 for each aditional range attacker of te same faction in B2B with each other.

close combat formation: 2-5 attackers in B2B with the target. plus 1 for each added attaker



Conquest: same as above but bonuses are as follows:

for close combat and range, add 1 attack and 1 damage for each figure in the formation who can sucessfully hit.

as far as I know, In conquest moving formations can be up to 10 but close combat and range combat are still up to 5. but font take my word on that.

The maximum size of a close combat formation in Rebellion is 3.
