Attacking a Chariot
When a chariot is the target of an attack, only one section will be affected by that attack.
Does this mean that I cant sweep two sections
of the chariot if im between them?
Can I ram both sections? Is ram considered an attack?
What exactly is considered an attack anyway?
I think an attack is a close combat or a ranged combat
action, therefore ram would be ok because its a
move action.
The only way to attack multiple sections of a multi-dial figure simultaneously is to use a figure with multiple arrows to make a ranged attack through an inactive section. Sweep will not allow you to attack two sections of an MDF with one close combat attack.
Ramming a multi-dial figure on its borderline will, however, deal a click to each of the two sections.

i was pondering on that a bit... a while ago... and darn... there goes my tricky attack.
why would ram between the borderline affects both sections... but sweep wouldnt? both of them attacks came from a single source!
Sweep is an attack, and used against a single figure (even a MDF) only deals the damage once. Ram is an effect of movement, and will effect multiple sections of an MDF if applied at the section dividing line (so will Defend.)
official warlord rulings state that ram affects both but sweep affects one (MDF's decision).
i have tried to find the movement effects of MDF's with low wall, hindering terrain and water and can't find it officially anywhere. Anyone know where or what the official rules are?
deep water precludes any of the base from overlapping it and thus drownings need to be "on the line." MDF's can potentially move through hindering terrain without stopping (as long as their base is never completely within the terrain) and thus chariots should be able to move through and stop on low walls with impunity but ive heard that low walls stop a chariot, in line with the "must stop on far side" rule. Thanks. Also for a chariot/MDF spin prior to movement are bases of single dial figures ignored? or could careful positioning potentially prevent all but a 180 degree spin?
Figures of all kinds (including other multi-dial figures) are ignored during the pivot part of a multi-dial figure's movement. If the line of movement (i.e. the straight line from the center dot at the starting position to the target area) touches another multi-dial figure, then that would stop movement.
