As long as there are a total of 3 figures in the formation, including the forced marchers, yes.

As long as they all share a faction symbol they can move together
3 figs make a formation even if there mounted.

It's just that without said FM'er, cavalry units tend to slow down a formation. That's one of the things that makes KI cavalry units so powerful; they can zip around in formation at 12" a turn thanks to the KI's cheap 12" FM'ers.

Chargers with Standard Bearers or Infintry captains make good launchers, FM them into charging range and, *sounds of calvery trumpets* :D

Very usefull, though in Conquest the chargers can use their Double move ability in formation.

Forced March works as long as the figure with it is participating in a legal movement formation. In other words, it need only be touching one other figure in the formation.

The confusion on this issue arises because one of the most commonly used Forced March figures is the Bond Maker. The requirement that all the figures be touching the Bond Maker is part of the rules on Shyft, NOT the rules on Forced March.

This is really a good point, many people think all the formation members must be b2b with the F marcher.

If the same Shyft rule applied to all FM formations, the Chaos Mage / Snurga / Shaman / Gobbo / Piper formation would be ruined. ;)

Now I know why i"ve been running my orc formations wrong! I was wondering why I never got them to work.
And I knew about the FM rules too! I feel really stupid (or is that S.T.U.P.I.D?).
