Im having trouble making a good MS army I have a Krugg Seer
And Wraith and just about every other non unique MS but I cant get a good balance of support offense and defense in this 200 point army any suggestion would be much appreciated:p
wyvern=44 points
wraith=61 points
krugg seer=45 points
*war hatchetkrugg=35 points
and any flavor you want to add in to equal 200 points, I usually play 300 point games.
Wyvern makes a great blocker since it has flight with 12" and battle armor jacks up its defense to a respectable 19 and it has 4 clicks of venom.
first off i'd like to say one thing:
- I LOVE MAGESPAWN!!! -
they are very cheap compared to fighters of other fractions, i think this is because of them lacking the ability to build formations...
Krugg Seer 45
Wraith 61
War Impaler*** 44
Medusa*** 29
LE Murk 21
okay, here's the deal:
the wraith will be the centrepiece, with him you will pose a threat and attract the enemy.
then you use the war impaler to ram, if your enemy uses tough figures, you might want to consider pushing the wraith in order to destroy the toughness before ramming.
the medusa is great for poisoning and you can push her to rip away toughness or just the most dangerous clicks of your foe and she will still inflict one damage per round...
as the war impaler is really hard to damage/kill you should be able to inflict loads of damage and because of the rule of 1 you should be able to reach your healer in time (did i mention the wi*** is one of my most favorite pieces?)...just do not let him get captured...
sometimes your opponent will mistake him for his ugly brother, war hatchetkrugg...this might give you the opportunity for a nice little shot at him ;-) happens usually every other game...
hm...to be quite honest, the murk was just for the last 21 points and i saw him today while looking for some good polearm figures, very mobile and a great attacker, but easy to kill/capture...so these last 21 points might be better ditributed in a different way...
When looking to support your Mage Spawn, you can do no worse than finding some of those shyft.
The forced march one can make those Animated Mud pieces a real pain in the neck for your opponent! Add the big fat imp from dungeons, and get some limited invisibility!!
The Necro one gets those skellies working...
all sorts of fun for your opponent to worry about whilst your wraith is in there busting it up!

I was thinking the same thing Rob. Will this work, four *Skeletons in formation with the Shyft w/ necro (I can't remember which one), two skeletons base opposing figure, figure kills one skeleton, on my next turn push other skeleton to hit, necro dead skeleton w/ Shyft, placing it touching the Shyft and opposing figure and that skeleton attacks? I think this is legal. If this works a constantly recycling horde of skeletons could take just about anything down. Make two formations, so you don't have to push the Shyft, and it gets even better.
your opponent will usually try not to kill the skeleton but just inflict one damage...
one thing that cripples your strategy is FL...
and the thing with the points at the end...
metagamewise the meanest thing your opponent could do is play really slowly...
oh, and forget about the werebear it would not be damaged but captured...;-)
otherwise this strategy is extremely hard to beat, when you have succesfully reached the frontline, he'll be doomed...just hope there are no rams involved...one wi***(did i mention...) would be enough to cripple the whole concept...
3X Skeleton* and a Soul Stealer** is a fightening 74 points. If in the process, you loose a Skeleton or 2, its alright. As long as you kill a 30+ point fig, you'll be ahead in points. Keep that in mind, and you'll be fearless. If you used a Lich, you'd need a Bond maker instead of a Soul Stealer, and then you couldn't Necro. 8" move is tolerable, but 6" is not.
