A formation of KI E@A and a SB bases an opposing mounted figure (first action). A Heavy Lancer doubles his movement to base the opposing mounted fig at the back arc (second action). This completely encloses the opposing figure making it impossible for it to escape.
Next turn I push my elves to capture the figure. I make a successful capture attempt. My charger is in charge range of another opposing figure.
Can I charge/attack the opposing figure even if my charger started the turn in base contact with an opposing figure?
No. Your Charge figure was in base contact with an opposing figure at the start of the action, and therefore may not use the move/attack option of Charge.
I am no expert but I am pretty sure that once a figure is captured, he immediatly becomes a nuetral figure and would not cause you to have to roll break away or anything to move away from him. Correct me if I am wrong.
balduvian is right, except for a small symantical mistake. he started the turn, not the action, in base contact, and so he may no longer move and attack.
