radient light dragon is the worst, unless you plaing a large game where you have alot of guys that need to be defended. but other wise i would say that the venemous shadow is the deadliest, and even better with the Mortis drac.
:D :D
I'd say the GFD is the best, then VSD, PID 3rd, and RLD fourth...in Rebellion. In Conquest, the RLD is probably the best, followed by the PID, GFD, and VSD.
PID is best at stopping swarms, obviously. You can also put some enhancers on it's front arc when you shoot to cause extra damage.
Yea, i pretty much agree with Shockwave. The GFD is best in Rebellion, The RLD in Conquest (surrounded with outfacing arties/gunners, it is a thing to behold).
I think that the RLD is definately the best dragon for the job in conquest. But I have a place in my heart for the VSD. So deadly.... Plus he makes a great defender when put in hindering terrain. perfect for your castle defence.
1) Cheap
2) Better at formation breking than the PID, multiple F/L always works, unlike the unreliable MF of the PID
3) Goes Berserk when head is near death - this allows it, in dragon to dragon battles especially to really kill another dragon even if it has been wounded badly.
ok, for simple melee battles, or against a Hill Giant, I would take the Venemous. Played properly, it's your best weapon against other big pieces, super high attack and damage, even on the wings!
20 defend and dual-MH on the sides sucks? Coupled with the 5 Pierce? My friend you are obviously a very bad player. RLD is the epitome of support... I like to pair mine with 2x HOSTs!!!
How's VSD so good?
Picked one up a couple days ago, and I'm just testing him. I only played him twice so far, so I'm still getting used to the lack of range. To make a long story short, these are the basic facts: first I forgot to put some hindering terraing, and also advanced with him too early against a Wraith and a Chimeric Worm. They just danced around him without ever touching him. Boom, dead. Next I DID put the terrain, but the Wraith got there first, so again, boom, dead.
These were 300 points unlimited game, and I was playing him young, supported by an Amazon Queen and a Crystal Protector. What is the best way to play him, and what are his pros and cons compared to a GFD? Or even the PID, to remain on-topic?
VSD is good if you can *hopefully* base the enemy ...
GFD is a force to be reckoned with ..
RLD good heal/defend .. PIERCE and best range ..
PID freezing???
