...with runab0ut. the gunner is still hard core and even with all the great new figs coming out I still like to put him in my armies with a couple of ESA's. With F/L he can break up formations really quickly.
Support piece: At this time, I'd say the Technomancer. It's nothing by itself, though.
Piece that requires another piece (without being support): KI Charger. Easily the most min/maxed figure in the game. If I was designing a figure to abuse the point cost system, this would probably be it. None of the abilities of it are overpowering. It's the combination of stats & abilities and their locations on the figure that makes it so powerful.
Stand alone piece: Right now I don't think there is a single one. I think a case could be made for the Amotep Gunner (as mentioned a couple of times), the Solonavi Striker & the Amazon Draconum.
Most of the very popular figuers are very efficient.
To the Blade Golem and the Amotep Gunner, I'd add the * Skeleton, the Shade and the E@A. I too like the OST and the Crystal Protector )I try to use it also to heal a demoralized Healer: *gasps* and *sobs* from the opponent when I can pull it out!)
But I'd add to the list the Nightblade (the ***, at 16 points, takes 6 clicks of damage to get demoralized: will survive almost any single attack...) and the Taskmaster (has 4 clicks of Command in a playable fig for 32 points: beats the Brass Commander in my books).
I think Autumn has to be up there. I see her in so many armies since for only one extra point over a techno u get healing, or for a few extra points you get a levitator that can push and keep the ability.
