Examples:

-Seeing a Solonavi Drone for the first time (the first Solonavi that I saw): "Wow, they have ALIENS in this?"

-Seeing Thorn Crawlers and thinking about how cool the worms are (They still are, in my book)

-My first impression of Shadows.

-Looking at Brass Commanders and thinking that they look extremely tough

-Thinking that the Medicine troll I pulled from my first booster is a unique at first.

-Using Magma guardians as competitive pieces, and winning games because of them!

-My first unique, the Solonavi Creator...

-Seeing the Apocalypse and Santa figures for the first time

-Winning an E-bay lot of well over 20 Leech Medics and saying, "There! Now I won't have to go searching for Healers anymore!" (FYI, it was for about nine bucks, total)

-Thinking that it was great that I won a lot for 13 Tanglewood Spirits for about $7, because they looked really tough

-Not thinking much of the Amazon Draconum OR Corpheus


Anyone have anything else to think of here?

Thinking that the Necropolis Sect was going to mop up....

My Hierophant was top dog....

Thinking the Arcane was actually good....

Getting all 100+ of my rebellion Zombies....

Thinking that an "aquatic" theme army was cool....

The first time I ever saw the Fist of Tezla, and crapping my pants....

My favorite unique, the Wraith.....

seeing an awesome sculpt for a figure the 1st time... then throwing it away for its hideous stats!

still staring at the pictures of the 4 horsemen... and still impressed.

not liking to face an MDF in 300pt army.

my 1st two uniques... a storm golem and the everlovable necromancer!

- Opening my starter alone at home, without really knowing if a Hierophant is good....
- Not liking to face the 4 horsemans...

-Getting a Troll Knight in my starter
-Mopping up with my Thunderdoom Troll
-Smiting people with Podo
-People still being afraid if my * Imp

-before there were tournaments
-seeing the lich for the first time and hoping he was good
-when i could play an order of vladd and frighten people
-anunubs even more ridiculous value
-wood golems usefullness
-the jarls usfullness
-before they made hero clix,mech warrior,crimson skys,shadow run,dungeons,and that god awfull creepy freaks thing...................



ive got some more but it would take all day to list them.

Thinking that I could build an army of just about anything and still have a fighting chance.

Thinking how cool the necromancer looked and wanting one.

Reading Inquest and laughing at their armie builds.

Owning about 20 figures and thinking that I had enough to build 2 armies.

Reading about and trying to use the off square rule.

When we used to pat eachother on the back on the main site about how great our self moderated forum was.

The days when there was no amazon drac/corphy/host/or kermit

when you could play themed armies and win

the thrill of pulling a figure out of a booster and not having the previous 6 weeks to to memorize its stats

pulling a goltusep from my first rebelion booster and not knowing what it was and got ripped off by some jerk!and then hering how bad i got riped from my friends.

gathering what little money i had to buy one booster.

getting a figure off thebase and throughing it away, before the replacement policie. and not having SG.l

pictureing my future girl friend as a amazon queen.

not being able to under stand why in the game figs would use swords when others are using guns.Example, pickett townly delt 1 damage when the noble archer delt 2. see what i mean.

Looking at the mummy two days after pulling it and realizing it was a unique.

Killing A solonavi Destroyer with only a agestone Lord.

...and some other stuff. Made entirely from my first starter and a booster. Losing was annoying and frequent, but winning felt amazing! Looking back it's amazing I won at all...

And winning my first tournament, the Whirlwind Marquee.

What I miss about MK?

...Buying a BPR starter box (my bud bought AG) and thinking we could play for months with just $20 worth of figs.

...My Elemental Priest / Boomer army.

...EAA swarms before there was even forcemarch. (or even Crystal Bladesmen swarms ;) )

...Each and every incarnation of magic levitation. I suspect I'll miss even this lame version 12 months from now when WK decides it is STILL too powerful and removes it altogether.

(I can already picture DemoMonkey's response ......"What ML? There was never an ability named ML. I have no idea what you are talking about...") ;)
