Here's the third and final installment of the day in the polls to help us discover what we'd like WizKids to change to make the game better. Please remember if you choose "Other" to post what other change you would prefer to see.
Clarification - For option #4, a 2nd Action token would cause a click of Pushing damage much like Magic Confusion and would translate to the figure being under the charming influence that vampiric creature often possess.
I like the second option, although 3 isn't bad either. In truth I want to be able to move some of the unfortunate Vampires that cannont vampire back into their "good clicks" to be able to do just that. So maximum healing is fair if you end up leaving your enemy rather unscathed.
what if you use #3 but instead make it an option like you may subtract 1 from you damage dealt to increase 1 to vampirism (may be used as many time as damage-1) kind of a cross between 2 and 3
example if your printed damage is 4 you may choose to heal up to 3 clicks and do 1 or may heal 2 and do 2 or heal 1 and do 3??
How about a compromise. The figure with Vampirism can distribute clicks of damage and clicks of healing as he or she sees fit. For example, if the figure with vampirism does 3 damage, he or she can allocate 2 to damaging the enemy unit, and 1 to healing, or 3 clicks to healing, none to damage, etc.
kenntak you and I are on the same page...the Vampire should decide how to allocate the clicks, either destroy his victim or heal himself or something in-between. I have long thought Vampirism need to be strengthed a little bit - this has always seemed like the natural fix. Does it make a fig like Vladd a lot better...yes, but he needs to be better, his movement used to be super-high relatively and his Defense also - now both are not good enough at all.....also, it makes Darq better, and some other Necro pieces that could use a boost
Other - heal a number of clicks equal to damage dealt. Yea, it makes Vampirism an amazing ability, but, they're VAMPIRES, they're supposed to be bad muthas.
I agree with Maat.. Vampires are supposed to be bad muthas. Vampirism should be as strong as bound (*tries hard to imagine how this wil happen*). I voted for number 2 though, as a compromise.
i enthusiastically and wholeheartedly agree with the deal the whole damage and heal as many clicks as well since thats what vampirism should have been anyways. but i foresee a lot of whiners complaining how it will be too overpowering so i opted for the deal damage and heal half rounded up... :D
I agree with Kenntak and whoever else suggests that the damage can be distributed however ou want. Say you hit for 4 damage with vampirism. You can either heal 4, or damage 4, or 3-1, or 1-3 or 2-2, whichever you prefer.
That way it is simple, and adjustable. It also makes "sense" in that more powerful vamps (Vladd) should be able to heal more from their vampirism, or be more deadly...
