As a random, NON-2.0 discussion... what are some of the more "creative" pieces of terrain that you've used in a game of Mage Knight? Mine have to be...
A pewter Ronald Reagan paperweight (they loved him at the venue)
A saltshaker (Hey, it's mentioned in the rulebook)
My leg (I was reclining)
Thornhusk (The entire area around him was blocking terrain. Nobody wants to go near Thornhusk)
A little toy windmill (that could transform into a little toy robot)
SOme of the Final Fantasy Creatures collection- metallic paint jobs, of course (they resemble statues that way- PERFECT for a Dungeons scenario)
One of these days, I'm going to bone up on the rules for Dungeons, buy a lot of 3-D Dungeons stuff, the traps, and the artifacts, and then use all of that in tandem with the stuff that I have now to create a gigantic, complex, lost temple-thingy. (The "metallic" Adel figure from the FF creatures line looks SOOOO much like a goddess statue...)
Nothing very creative....i did use the SAC as a tunnel...made up some odd rules for that....but ive used bandage boxes, blockbuster cases, lunchboxes...oh yeah! i did use water energy from my old pokemon card collection to make streams and lakes...that was great..and they were poisonous! that was great. I used my dog as blocking terrain too!.....until he moved...and in one fell sweep, knocked teh battlefield clean..that was awesome<--(sarcasm)
oh well byebye now
In one game at a friend's house, I forgot to bring my terrain and we ended up using - among other things - a ceramic bust of Vision and a Grim Reaper incense burner.:D
1) Parthenon made from balsa and wedding cake columns.
2) Simply used some wedding cake columns. (they are miniature greek/roman columns 3" tall.)
3) Homemade "hut" made from a cd,cardboard, spackel, thatch roof.
4) Resin elephants in MK scale
5) I was not originally a fan of warkruggs...so I had a "herd" of buffalo for terrain.
6) I made plenty of hindering terrain using various MK treefolk with hot glued foliage.
7) A model castle prior to the release of MK castles.
8) legos
