Playtip: Khan Harrowblade is another Mage Knight warrior that really demonstrates "heads on spikes", starting with the sculpt and working down all 10 clicks of his dial. Counterpoint to Khan Rava, Harrowblade prefers to get into the middle of combat, instead of taking shots from the outside. You decide if he is covered in red war paint, or red blood. The sculpt itself shows off incredible detail, down to the pained expression of the head impaled on his shoulder spike. Wielding a massive sword and shield, Harrowblade is ready for battle!
Khan Harrowblade is going to take up 1/3 of your build total right off the bat. So what do you get for that chunk of change? First, let's examine his speed. He's not a speeding bullet at 8 on his first clicks, however, he can get around with double time. His speed sticks at 7 for a nice long run through 4 clicks, then goes down from 7 to 6 to 5 and finally hitting 4 at his last click.
Defense wise, Khan Harrowblade is very thick skinned. The big shield does not hurt either. He starts off with three clicks of 17 defense, then proceeds to 16 and so forth down his dial. However, on his fifth click he gains an interesting defense special ability. Interesting, at least for an Orc, as he gains 5 long clicks of Regeneration. If your luck is with you, it's possible to regenerate Harrowblade back to his starting click. Nice trick.
Next, let's consider his damage stats. Khan Harrowblade has command, as you might expect out of a Khan. He starts with 2 clicks of 5 damage and then 4 more clicks of 4 damage. This can be boosted with the Broken Tusk sub-faction ability, which is useful to push him into that Regeneration sweet spot.
But can he hit? Boy can he! Khan Harrowblade is loaded with Thunder Blow! To let him make those high attack rolls, he starts with an 11 attack, only dropping to 10 on his third slot, and only a 9 on his fifth. The kicker is, Khan Harrowblade's first two clicks are identical, which allows him to Surge without a stat loss. Thunderblow with an 11 attack and a starting 5 damage can really rack up the damage. A 135 degree arc makes him a bit tough to swarm as well.
So what's his draw back's? Well, power like that is not cheap obviously. He is going to be an easy target for ranged attacks, though his 17 defense will help some. Fortunately, he can be supported by other inexpensive orcs (of which there are plenty in 2.0). Consider adding Blackheart to Harrowblade, if you have it handy, there are few warriors that can meet or beat a 5 damage!
LOL!!!Great, we deserved our usual MKRealms Exclusive Sneak Peek!!!....Im starting to like Orcs....well...not THAT much..but i think it will be the faction with more damage values and vey good figs...just imagine...8 clicks of damage....
