There are no formations. With four of my figures sporting quickness I can do this and move my entire squad except one figure in one turn (unless I get my command, then it's the whole shabang). The shades and Crystal protector forma sort of double stack wall for me to advance behind with the pyre spirit and queen directly behind (In case someone wants to get fresgh with one of my shades, whihc they probably wouldn't in the first place).
The wall looks something like this:
O O
O O
This prevents that pesky flame/lightning. If someone does want to jack up my wall they can only hit one figure at a time. The Pyre Spirit engages any formations that aren't sporting toughness while the Queen snipes at lone threats. The reapers provide dangerous secondary threats that are reasonably easy for my CP to heal. After my Pyre softens a formation up the shades go in for the capture while he moves on to the next threat (god I love that figure).
Well, I like this army a lot but I know I could find a better Magic Blaster then the Queen, but with the 77 points left over after putting everything else together she just seemed to fit, the quickness is a big bonus, too. I need some feedback!
I think the queen is the best MB choice for your army. Most Magic Blasters are too slow for this army. Khumeret might be a good choice but then you woudn't have very high of attack in your army and you'd have to drop a shade. It seems good to me how it is.
Interresting concept, I really like the Queen and the bodyguards your chose for her. The only detail I woudl reconsider is the the Shades. 1-2 of those looks fine, but I wonder if a) the third harasser is really necessary, b) there isn't a way you could use those 12 points for a better charger c) or alternatively, get a better healer.
I guess for now, it's a matter of playtesting rather then fine-tuning. The army looks solid, I think it could do well.
On another note, if you're looking for a replacement for Pyre, lyra Fairhame is a pretty good choice that will also leave you 16 points open for upgrades... She moves faster (ok looses PA and Ram, but has Venom for a long long time, MR and it can capture)
________ Prilosec Settlement Update
I played it in a four-way battle royale and took first place. It ran very much how I envisioned it; striking a target then melting away. The third shade might be alittle unneccessary, but since I didn't bother to capture anything I might need it to haul off a figure and still have a good amount of bodygaurds/harrassment. On a sidenote, the queen tends to draw more fire then the Pyre spirit, which I used to my advantage.
