Hey, i just got done with the Graveyard of the mountain trolls and i won (2-0 with a bye) playing orcs.

My army:

2 formations of:
2**Orc mauraders
**Ubkhan

Khan harrowblade
with Treefell and Cloak of Shadows

and 5 *mauraders.

My domains: Downpour and Open terrain

My plan was to claim the objectives quickly and then deal lots of auto damage to slow down figures.

I showed up 10 minutes late and there were 4 other players.

2nd round: Chris (dragonkid on the realms)

Morathai with Monk's blade
riding Salamander

Zamiel the wise with torengrim's helm, magestone bracers and wand of reanimation.

Ironwolf with Souldrinker.

I Played open terrain, he played wylden forest. I placed concealing on my side of the board.

I rolled an 11 he rolled a 5. I swarm the first two objectives early on and start thwacking zameil the wise. Harrowblade makes short work of ironwolf, and then morthai. I soon controlled all the objectives and did 3 pushing damge a turn to zamiel, who died.

Now i was playing another orc player whose name i still don't know.

He plays conviction, i play downpour.

I roll low he rolls high. He places far from the objective and two blocking peices splitting the objectives. I place conealing near my starting area.

He moves out his Scorch and i move up harrowblade. I claim one objective with the *maurader formation and begin doing damage to the deathsinger and blood shamen, who claim the other objective. After i clear with harrowblade, he double times to scorch but out of surge range of the BT orcs, and I bring up a Formation of shadow khans to claim the center. He's doing damage to harrowblade, i'm doing it to the shamen and the singer. Next turn, i push to attack scorch and i need a 4...but roll a 3. His broken tusk orcs move up, and then next turn push to kill harrowblade (not before he deals 3 damage to scorch). However, those two turns i do my pushing damage to the deathsinger so i don't have to deal with revanent. Meanwhile I'm moving my other SK formation to contest (and eventually claim) the far objective. In the middle objective, a battle is raging between his violators and ubkhans and my shadow khans. Now i'm moving my blood shamen to heal my far shadow khan formation and maybe draw fire off of them long enough to deal enough pushing damage to kill his scorch and ubkhan and weaken his harkas. One *maurader holds off the violators off long enough to keep them from getting into the fray, while the blood shamen is making his harkas weak from surging and pushing. They eventually get to the second SK formation but can't finish them off (they hit the ubkhan but i use looting to heal it of 2 damage and next turn demo the harka) Finally, his ***violator (with only one click of damage) moves off the objective to try and reclaim another, and a doubletimed *maurader takes his place and now i'm doing 3 damage a turn, which fhinishes off his violator and warhorse. Most of his figs are alive but demoed and i net myself scarlet grimorie and circle of wraiths.

Congratulations on your victory. That orc battle sounded pretty exciting, like it could have gone either way.

very good, you did very good, i wish you were playing for the atlanteans, but oh well... nice use fo the special rule...

Atlanteans i would've used 16 *Priestkan warriors. Doubletime+dodge+Imperial leigon and 2 clicks of demo= you're never getting to the objectives.

edit: that is, if i amassed an ungodly amount of Prieskans.

Why were you playing with domains in a scenario event?

And why didn't second place get one of the prizes?

our warlord allowed it and everybody was okay with it.

So no fellowship prize, then. Sorry, it just bugs me when warlords don't follow the rules.

I liked your army and battle report, though. I wish I had 16 * Prieskan Warriors. That would be fun. Failing that, Orcs are my swarm of choice.
