I have been away from the game for a while since MK 2.0 came out. It was too expensive to continue all my vices. :D
I've been brousing around MKRealms the past few days and I find the 4 Horsemen Avatars of Apocalypse to look very cool but they are expensive. How good are they in game play? Or are they expensive only because they are ultra-rare?

They arnt the kind of figures you go out and buy for like 10 bucks. I'm not sure the price of them on their own, but I've seen people selling the set of 4 for around $150. They're rarer than a regular unique too, I think 1 in 7 or something like that. Possibly more.

They are just chase pieces, one per case. Being 300 points (your whole army), most players can beat them. But, if your playing bigger point armies they can be fun to play around with.

with the use of phoenix lance(automatic revives rider if kill, only works once) any of 4horseman become very strong cause 22dmg not easy to come up with, so Avatars r useable in 400 up with phoenix lance, i have won using Pesty in 500 with phoenix lance, bracer of the gaints, and cloak of vipers and some range support. the rarity is 1 per case or about 1/48 i think.

And is this Phoenix Lance also very expensive? Thanks for all the replies.

no, most relics go for 1-5dollars, so not very.
